My name is wendy, I am not really a democrat or republican. I will vote for the person who I think is best for the job, this applies to any office.

My question is why do some of you hold such strong opinions against Kerry?

The flip flops turn me off. I like people who believe what they believe and will stand by it.

First of all, Wendy!!!! I think you know where I stand on most issues, but I'll give a brief summary on my feelings toward Kerry.

First and foremost, I don't trust him. I can't with my gut trust this man who cannot stand for really anything. I don't like how he painted his fellow servicemen after he returned from Vietnam and then turned around and said maybe his comments were over the top.

He's an admitted war criminal. I wouldn't support Lynddie England's run for office if she were to seek office.

I don't like how he doesn't want to be questioned. You question his senate record, it's somehow challenging his patriotism. That's BS . Any job I ever required asked about my previous jobs held.

His statement about dispersing troops at the directive of the UN still troubles me. I do not trust the UN to do anything. THey've still done nothing to stop the ongoing crisis in Sudan. They did nothing to stop Rwanda. Guess who sits on the UN Human Rights Commission? Sudan. I've come to the conclusion that the UN is a joke.

He promised to eliminate the CIA years back and has since been voting to cut intelligence funding. This is the same man who thinks he can make this country safer but would gut our intelligence if given the chance?

He tries to paint himself as moderate when he took 1st place for most liberal senator . John Edwards came in 4th. They're to the LEFT of Ted Kennedy.

He demands that Bush denounce Swift Boat Vet ads but refused to denounce 527 ads that attacked Bush. I guess it's ok as long as he isn't questioned.


I'm running out of time right now, but I could post plenty more. THese are just a few that popped into my head.

I pretty much agree with the others :
I don't think Kerry is good for this country.
I believe the economy is better when money is left in the pockets of Americans.
I KNOW his well intentinoed that they are plans for health insurance etc... can not work.. We don't have enough $$ to do what he wants.

I hit post too soon...
I don't believe he is strong on defense... to me this is #1 job of the goverment to protect us because without that it doesn't matter if we have health care of whatever... no freedom would definetly put a damper on his social projects.

Now the above is a general why I am not voting for a democrat. More specific to Kerry:
He doesn't seem to stand for anything he has been on every side of every issue.
I don't care what he did in Vietnam.. I am thankful he served myself but I disagree with his actions when he got back... I believe going and talking in Europe with the communists Koreans and wheeling and dealing amounted to treason not the acts of a future president. I also believe if what he testified to his true he should not be president as he is quilty of war crimes himself. Just like the most recent scandal.. I believe they happen but people should be held accountable.. all it has done for him is benefit his career.

Frankly: I think his poltics are scary... He is for cutting some of our defense systems for more people.. and I KNOW that is a bad idea... better tools.. more efficenty not more and we NEED these weapon systems.. just because we are fighting a war on terror doesn't mean we have no threat from conventional weapons.. we certainly do... espicially as we worry the terrorists get nuclear weapons themselves... We have both conventional and un-convetnional enemies and Kerry doesn't seem to be able to grasp that idea.

He is self serving, and he is a liar. His senate record says it all. He seems to me like one of the kids in school who could easily be pressured by other children. He has no leadership qualities and he has no real plan to fight the war on terror. He seems to think that simply getting France and Germany on board, alone, will solve everything. I am afraid that he will make the wrong decisions when it comes to protecting my family.

I pretty much have to say ditto to everything said above. But the thing I think about everytime I see Kerry speak is, is there anything to like about this guy?

He won't quit fighting the Vietnam war it seems - yet whines when the Swift Boat Vets challenge him.

What a pathetic crybaby! Not to mention outright liar. I am astounded that this creep would blatantly lie about what Cheney and Bush said. And I mean blatant lies.

Sorry folks, but the man is revealing his true self. He is demented at worst or pathetic at least.

This is a guy who went to Vietnam after trying for his own deferrment for only one reason - self aggrandizement. His return was a continuation of that theme. His past years have been pathetically sparse on anything except under-cutting our defense and now he bases his whole campaign on his "two" tours of duty?

Where is the rebut to Zell's statements? Oh, can't do it so refight the Vietnam war.
