...that was a nice concession speech. Some of it I rolled my eyes at (the fact that he's going to "fight hard" with issues is laughable considering he's passed 5 fluff bills in 20 years), but the tone of it was good and it was good that HE made sure to say it's time to pull together to heal the country and to move on to bigger things.

I fell asleep before the president's speech, but I'm sure I'll see it later. I'm so damn tired!

Yes, he was gracious about losing. Too bad some other people can't be that way. People are saying that all the democrats need to stick together now after all of this- The news anchors said that this has been an ugly race. Statements like the above are not going to make America any stronger - we are so divided right now. I'm trying to have a little class about the whole thing.

You know, I was in a good mood myself, very happy about the Bush win. But then I read the pain and worry of all those people and all of a sudden I feel EVEN BETTER!!!

Actually, I've been reading what the dems. are saying, if this were the oscars, I'd say all of them would recieve the best actor/actresses award, but this is how they really feel and thats pathetic. They need to stop being so dramatic.

And I got off topic up there. I did think it was a good speech. He seemed sincere and I've never felt that from him in the entire time he was campaigning.

I was very impressed by Senator Kerry's speech. That was one class act. The fact that he didn't push this into the courts (which he COULD have done, and I'd bed my life that had Edwards been the presidential candidate, would have happened because of his shred 'em to pieces lawyer persona) pleased me infinitely. I'll be honest- up until this point, I had no respect for the man whatsoever. After that speech, I actually respect him. It was the perfect thing to wipe Edwards' speech from your brain.

I admit.. I didn't pay close enough attention to President Bush's speech, but after staying up all night watching the coverage, I was exhausted, so I put in a dvd and took a nap. What I DID watch of the speech was good. I'll read the transcripts later.

All of that drama by those Dems; I was stunned. I've been seeing similiar reactions all over online all day as well. You'd think they'd already be up at the Clinton's in NY working with Hilary for 2008 or some.
