I just don't understand...
I would love to post this message on the board I have been posting on recently, but I'm sure I would make a few enemies. I guess I'll just have to post here. I am just so confused by the "normal middle class person" who wants to vote for John Kerry. I don't know what they see in him. I can see where the celebrities are backing him (that doesn't surprise me). I am going to be very afraid for the safety of our country if he wins. I know lack of jobs is an important issue during this election, and yes, Bush has probably not done as well as he could have on this issue, but he has kept our country safe!!! I truly believes he cares about our country. If Kerry wins, and we are attacked again, maybe this time with smallpox or something like that, there won't be any reason to worry about jobs because we won't be around to worry about it. Maybe I am naive, but I think most of the people in our country have some morals - why are these people voting for Kerry???
I highly believe that if you are voting for John Kerry, you do not have morals and you can not be a Christian. Okay, I'm done ranting. I just needed to get that off of my chest. Thanks for listening...

Okay, wow, I just re-read my post and that was really harsh about the morals. I hope I didn't offend anyone with what I said. Sometimes I speak/type before I think things out.

I often have the same thoughts -- and certainly have the exact same confusion as to "why". Thanks for sharing that.

Re: I just don't understand...
Hi, Jennifer! Great to see you here. I used to be afraid of speaking my mind on our February board, but I'm getting a bit more nervy lately! Don't worry about offending here. We are all pretty open to expressions of political thought. Of course I totally agree with your views, so maybe I'm a bit biased!

I totally agree too. And I was not offended by your post. Then again I guess it is because I think the same way!!!!

It baffles me, too. How can they so easily forget or put the threat of terror on the back burner?

Re: I just don't understand...
I feel the same way. I really do try to understand where people are coming from when they have different views than myself. But I just don't get this one.
Another thing...Even if I were a Democrat, I couldn't possibly vote for Kerry because I have no faith in him what so ever. How can anyone believe what he has to say? He says one thing and constantly does something else.

Re: I just don't understand...
It really comes down to the hatred for the right. The "anybody but Bush" people are just that...they don't know what they want, but they know what they don't want and they think that is a good thing. It's not. No one should ever vote purely against something...they need reasons to vote FOR things, too, and if that is absent, they're gonna have problems.

Re: I just don't understand...
Rush said today that even if Kerry and Edwards dropped out of the race on Nov 1st that the democrats would still get the votes, it is not because they like Kerry that they are voting for him, hell they would vote for Daffy Duck before they would vote for Bush. You know you don't have to like a man personally to know he is a good leader though. You know it seems like it is easier to be hated this day and age than it is to be loved.

I totally agree with you! I cannot understand how anyone could put their confidence in Kerry to run our country! It completely baffles me!!!! I just pray, pray, pray that Bush is re-elected!!!
