What do you think will come out of this? I don't doubt that almost everybody is aware of Rather's liberal bias, but I have to admit, I was a bit surprised that CBS is just saying "we're right", end of story. More and more people have come to the conclusion that they were using fake documents, their own experts have contradicted themselves. The sad thing is, liberals think this is fair and balanced. You see, fair and balanced to them is a liberal slant, anything otherwise is right wing tv or fox news. I guess they're the ones who truly have the "you're with us or against us" attitude.

Nothing will happen to Rather. Sources say that he was going to retire next Spring, anyway. CBS will just ride it out until he leaves. They will never admit that they are wrong, either. Nor will they give up their "source" (I think that I have a pretty good idea of who it is ) Besides, does anyone really watch CBS news???????????

Interesting tidbit, I have had dinner with Dan Rather and his family before, can you believe it!

I doubt anything will come of it. Libs have a spectacular talent of presenting propaganda and then brushing it under the carpet.

But I did notice how Rather's voice went out right after the forge was "discovered". I wonder if maybe CBS didn't set up poor ol'Rather, knowing he's about to retire. I mean come on .... It was an obvious forge. How many hours did it take to "discover" after it was presented? How could the CBS PRO's not know it was a shaky story after even the tiniest bit of scratching the surface? I can just picture Rather when he found out; fists clenched screaming at the top of his lungs "NOOOOOOOOoooooooo ....!!" until his voice went out. hehehehe ahhhh

Oh, it's no biggie. My Dh's good friend (which was a groomsman at our wedding) was the nephew of Mr. Rather. He is a native Houstonian in case you didn't know. ANYWAY, we went to Troy's wedding in October of '97. On the way there, we joked about whether or not DR would be there, and sure enough, he was! Later, after we had piled our plates high of good ole' Texan BBQ (this IS a Texas wedding, remember ) we found a place to sit. We approached a young lady and her Mother and asked if anybody was sitting in the last few chairs at the table. She said "no, my Dad is sitting in this chair but you are welcome to take the other two, if you like". So, we sit down, start eating...and guess who her Dad was? You guessed it Mr. liberal himself, Dan Rather! We had a nice conversation with him about Houston and the history of it, and I am sad to say that we didn't see any horns growing out of his head .

Here is the kicker, when he speaks to you, he doesn't look at you in the eye. He focuses his eyes downward and talks to you that way. We thought that it was a little strange at first. We know now, however, that he probably had a hard time looking at the average American in the eye, because of the lies that he had been spewing for years!

Anyway, that is my intersting tidbit. Anybody got any others?
