I can't believe how the news agencies have criticized Bush about the war. They have apparently forgot about the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998. I keep waiting to hear someone bring it up and no one does.
That and my normal morning news station has me ticked off. Instead of the correct sentence "the latest casualty of the war..."; they started the sentence "The latest victim of the war...". Victim? I believe that is like spitting in the eye of the soldier they were doing the story on. He died doing his job in a war. These people want to make EVERYONE into a victim!
H.R. 4655- Oct 31, 98:
Became Public Law No: 105-338.
Signed by President.
I like the first line of the summary-
"(REVISED AS OF 10/05/98 -- Passed House, amended)
Iraq Liberation Act of 1998 - Declares that it should be the policy of the United States to seek to remove the Saddam Hussein regime from power in Iraq and to replace it with a democratic government. "
and this gem-
"Expresses the sense of the Congress that once the Saddam Hussein regime is removed from power in Iraq, the United States should support Iraq's transition to democracy by providing humanitarian assistance to the Iraqi people and democracy transition assistance to Iraqi parties and movements with democratic goals, including convening Iraq's foreign creditors to develop a multilateral response to the foreign debt incurred by the Hussein regime"
I got this from

Sure the law doesn't say go to war. But how else were we supposed to accomplish the directives?
I am in such the mood today. These bozos at work were listening to Stern again. That and I am surrounded by anybody but bushies. What chuckleheads!
