Default Repulican/Ultra Conservitive Siblings?

I have super, ultra conservative siblings and was wondering if anyone else does and if so does this effect your relationship or the way you act around each other? I always find I try to avoid certain topics around them just because they will really quickly get overly defensive and emotional about things. It's nuts.

I'm on the opposite spectrum but thought I'd answer anyways. I'm a Republican and quite conservative in many of my views. My BIL is quite liberal on most issues and almost always votes democratic. We love to debate the issues. It can get heated and fun, but we are both too outspoken to not address certain issues when we are together. LOL

I have extremely conservative parents and we have agreed not to discuss politics. My husband and my mom have had several fights and rarely speak to each other at all ever since the 2000 election.

Most of my family is pretty liberal, but I do have an aunt and uncle who are super-conservative and we have really come to blows a time or two. Mostly we just agree to not talk about anything political. Even though my whole family is liberal, I am the only one with the huge passion for politics and also the only one who can't keep her mouth shut, so it is always me who gets into it with my aunt and uncle! Luckily we can get over our disagreements quickly so we have no hard feelings!
