We have a few relatives that send us email that makes me insane. One is an Uncle of DH and it is mostly anti Hillary stuff, and not that frequent. The other is a second cousin who recently got our email address and she forwards everything!! They are extreme right wing, support Bush, the war and paryer in school or you are un-American. Since I am a wimp I will probaly say nothing and continue to delete them. I was just wondering if anyone has a fun way to handle that.

I do the same as you, I delete them. I don't have the heart to tell my right wing family to stuff those stupid emails up their rear ends.

I get it and fire back with an e-mail that attempts to debunk every ridiculous statement in the e-mail. I also tell them that they should know better than to send me that kind of garbage and they were just asking for a hateful e-mail by sending it to me in the first place. Of course they all should know better because it is pretty well known that I am a liberal democrat who will not keep her mouth shut about politics. Actually, most of my family feels the same as me, we just have a few nuts who vote Republican and most of our debates, while heated, are in fun!
I just do not possess the willpower to keep my mouth shut!

Well usually the To: list is hidden, but once it wasn't, so I hit reply all and sent an email like Molly is talking about. That was the last right wing forward I got from them!

I delete, delete delete! My college roommate in Kansas sends me preachy random things that go out to her huge distribution list and it always amuses me because she also sends them to two of our other mutual friends who are both staunch Democrats I have been out of touch with them for awhile but keep meaning to email those friends to ask them what they do with my ex-roomie's right wing propaganda.

I replied to all that this was a load of crap and that while I loved to get family emails with updates on grandkids or whatever, I didn't appreciate the political emails and to quit sending them. They stopped immediately.

Say something! You have nothing to be ashamed of.

My Grandma's cousin sent me emails for months ... i deleted them until there was one that really just irritated the crap out of me so I replied to all & responded to the email. He wasnt happy that I replied to his entire email list, that I didnt believe in our president, he was ashamed of me(ok I have met this man once in my 31 yrs of life... I dont care!) & that he was "banning" me from his email!
My reponse... AMEN!!! Thank You!
My Grandma also hated the emails- she hasnt heard from him since either!
I only send political or religious emails to those I am close to that I know have the same views as I do. I dont forward everything to everyone.
