This is a double post (posted in crafts as well)

Last year I went to our local craft store and bought white shirts, fabric paints, and fabric markers.

I painted the palm of my kids hand brown, and each finger including the thumb a different fall color (yellow, red, green, orange etc...). put their hand down in the middle of the shirt near bottom. * This makes the turkey*

After the turkey was done I let them decorate the rest of the shirt. For instance my 7 year old made grass, a sun, and a barn on her shirt. They used the shirts for school and wore them on Thanksgiving. When they where done I wrote on the shirts with the fabric markers their names and happy thanksgiving.
