uh oh - getting sick!!

help!! so i think i cursed myself - i kept saying that i hadn't gotten sick at all this year! then i went skiing in utah (SO much fun) and came back all sniffly and achey! no no no!

i'm gonna try cold-fx. I have a bottle that i keep in my work drawer - just in case (in times like this) i need to boost my immune system!

ohhh i want to get better now!

I hate that every time I think I've gotten lucky being cold-free is when something hits me, lol. Hope you get well soon!

Thanks guys, you're so sweet! I'm actually feeling SO much better now - a little rest did me a lot of good! Have any of you ever tried cold-fx or any other immune-system-boosters? I am not a big meds fan, but this one's all natural which is why it's ok for me!

this is probably too late but next time if you caught it soon enough (in the sniffly, achey stage) drink a mug of hot water mixed with the juice of one lemon and big tablespoon of honey.

of course, nothing is for sure, but this remedy has worked for me a number of times. oh and go to bed straight away.

Thanks for the suggestion, newchick! Aren't home remedies the best? My mom has a whole lot of them, but that one sounds so relaxing and helpful...My mom swears that chicken soup solves all, but I'll give your remedy a try next time, too. It's perfect for people (like me) who like to avoid taking medication...That said, there's a whole slew of people that swear by cold-fx and the like...so it may be worth trying, too...

I know getting sick is the WORST, so I'd be willing to try anything to make me feel better when the cold starts setting in...

Glad you're feeling better.

I think DH has pink eye. He's going to the dr today to find out what he has, but his eye is itchy, puffy, watery, and when he woke up this morning it was crusty. Diguesting, sorry! TMI. He has a bunch of welts over his eyebrow over that eye and it's all swollen. I'm wondering if it's also some sort of allerigic reaction.

Oh no, i'm sorry! I have had my fair share of pink eye - and it definitely does sound like that may be his diagnosis. It's not fun, but luckily super easy to treat and it goes away fairly quickly! Hope he feels better...

I just got over a horrible cold that lasted what seemed like forever. Seriously about 3 weeks. I was miserable and achey all over. I hope you get better smurfette! It really sucks being sick!

Actually, yesterday I stood up off my couch (what was I thinking?!?) and now I have this awful stitch in my side, but hopefully that will go away. I'm such a klutz, LOL!

Glad your'e feeling better - that sounds sort of flu-like...achey. Yuck. I hate the aches. I'm all about the cold-fx now. I figure if I can boost my immune system by taking some vitamin-like pills, it can't hurt and hopefully I'll avoid the achies in the future (which I'd love to do at all costs!).
