So, I saw this preview for a story that they're doing on the CBS Evening News tonight, about this art school teacher who got sick from a virus (not sure what kind) and ended up having to have all of her limbs amputated. And now, she's back teaching and the kids just love her! (they're showing this tonight, I think, her back in her classroom.) I sometimes cannot believe what people are capable of going through, and still just bouncing back into their lives and still living such full lives and still making an impact (teaching, etc.) It sounds like a great story...I hope I'd be that capable of dealing if I experienced such a huge setback!

Wow, that's amazing. Poor woman - but good for her to embrace life like that. I really respect people who can keep on loving and living life and be grateful that they're still around and hoping to influence people's lives.

I know - I don't think I could be that upbeat and positive and keep moving forward with my life if that was me. I'm so impressed by this lady, and people like her! I hope that I can respond even, like, with half that kind of grace, in a bad situation.
