I think the Kid is trying too hard to act like an "adult" by doing the incredibly stupid things that KIDS do, when they think these things make them appear to be "cool adults", i.e. drink alcohol & smoke tobacco. Like gramps. Way cool, kid, I saw him on a Late Nite talk show, Leno or something, talking about turning 21 & getting drunk, & it was so clear he was trying too hard.
Or, maybe he is just one of the stable of paid little "celebrity smoker" obedient "pimp teens" & young adults who are paid big bucks to PIMP for Big Tobacco, some notables in the Stable, obedient little "celeb smokers" are: (getting ancient now, tho) Madonna, Stallone, Jayzee, Timbaland, Kid Rock, others. It pays to be a Pusher for the Merchants of Death, unfortunately many find that, like the RJ Reynolds Tobacco fortune's heirs, they end up suffering & dying truly gruesome, horrible long suffering deaths from the drug they are "pimping" in exchange for fame, fortune, a part in a Movie, sponsorship of their Music Rock Concert Tour, etc.
Or maybe he's just naive. Nah. The Tobacco guys have deep roots in the Entertainment Biz, & they "hook" their celebrity smokers YOUNG. They have to, because the aim is to attract other young "replacement" smokers.
Like, gotta replace 1/2 a MILLION smokers a year, just those who die.
Not to mention those who do manage to quit, eventually, if they get wise to the game. Hope Britney Spears quits, she has gone over to the "dark side", becoming a smoker in exchange for a Movie Role, which she herself said in an interview on T.V. The price, her health, her kids health.
