SU Basketball team begins or ends their bid at the Big East Tournament today when they play against Villanova. I take it there are not a lot of basketball fans here on She Knows since there is no Basketball thread so when I saw this news thread I decided to use it to have my say. All of us in Syracuse area have our hopes pinned on the boys. Jonny Flynn and Paul Harris who played together in high school work together to keep the other team at arms length. Arinze Onuaku is a impressive presence on the court scoring his share of points. Donte Greene also brings some power to the team and scores points too, and then there is Kristof Ongenaet who can flat score when he gets hot. The only problem I forsee for the boys is they don't really have anyone to put in to relieve them and give them resting time during the game. That has been a problem for them all season. They would be ahead most of the game but by the end of the game they are worn out and the other team has had time to rest so they are fresh enough to press them and score the points needed to overtake them. Sure hope that doesn't happen today. I, for one, won't be here noon to two eastern time because I will be yelling my lungs out cheering for my beloved Orangeman!

Update on my beloved Orangeman. They lost 81 to 63. They are all done. We had two of our main players out with injuries, one who got hurt playing in the Canadian summer leagues so he never started and then one who got hurt 5 weeks into the season. Next year we will come back full strength and a more experienced team and hopefully do better. So sad. I even caught my mailman and depressed him with the news of their score. Why should I be the only one depressed? LOL!

We now have a blind gov. who is black also. He is a very industrious man who deserves to be where he is and I think he will do great things while in office. Who knows, this state just might re-elect him if they like what he does for the rest of this term. What do you all think about this?
