How do you meet ppl?

Since I've been pregnant I have lost like ALL my single friends.....and I really feel lonely now. How do you all meet new people and make friends? I dont get out much but I want to start trying new things. I just dont know where to start...

Well you can make alot of friends here at SK. I have a lot of ladies who I'm friends with here. I've met one IRL and it was great. We had been friends for about 1.5 to 2 yrs.

I work outside the home so I meet a lot of ppl through work and I just graduated school in May so I met alot of ppl there. I don't hang on to too many ppl though. I have 1 real friend that I talk with and go out with on a regular basis from college. The others I just see at work.

You could met ppl through church functions, community get-togethers and service projects, meet other parents through your children's school (not sure if your preg with #1 or not).

Well you can make alot of friends here at SK

I've met quite a few gals off various boards I've been involved with over the years. Some you connect with, others you don't, but don't get discouraged, there are a lot of good people out there

I can relate about being a single Mom, and losing your single friends..BTDT years back

Do you work outside the home? Do you have any other children in school? There are a lot of community groups to join, if any interest you

What is this 'meet' new people' that you speak of, haha! Being pregnant and being a worker and being a student ... I don't really 'meet' people. I know them from work or from class but making friends just doesn't happen that much. Mostly everyone that I 'meet' is all here on the boards!

go to matchingmom.com or momsclub theres some really great "in's" in that direction.. I know with momsclub they set you up with play groups with children of the same age. since you are still pg they will set you up iwth other pg moms to be I really hope you get some friends because those first few weeks can be really lonely. good luck to you and happy hunting
