I was shopping for something to wear to a wedding at Lord and Taylor the other day, and the sales associate was SO helpful- which of course resulted in me buying the perfect outfit! But it made me think- after running around to multiple stores over the course of a week to find an outfit, it was the one place with any kind of customer service!

Has anyone else noticed this lack of CS lately or had particularly good experiences somewhere, and if so where? Thoughts??

I have noticed customer service is very poor especailly food service. I have found that Nordstroms has the best CS so much so that I will shop there first before going else where. I just had this debate with my doctors office because they are the worst and I cant understand why.

Me too! I think I've almost gotten so used to it, that I was almost surprised that this woman at L&T took all this time to help me! I have also had really good experiences with Verizon- they have great customer service, and were very helpful when I was having some service issues.

I'm trying to think if I've ever had really bad service with any one company- I think more non-existent than bad....

I must have gotten used to it because I haven't really noticed customer service, bad or good. Though usually if a sales person comes up to me I just tell them I'm browsing just so they'll leave me alone. I don't like being pressured into buying something.

Yeah, I'm like that too- I don't like people following me around- that's the worst it just makes you feel uncomfortable- I think that's why I was impressed by the L&T sales associate- she knew how to be helpful, and not pushy, you know?

I've heard some stores actually train their employees not to ask customers if they need help, because a lot of people feel the way you do.
