Country Music Fans?

are there any of you that really like country music? I'm just getting back into it the past couple months - there are some really good singers out there.

I really love Carrie Underwood. She was my favorite on her season of American Idol, she's got a great voice! And I read yesterday she was nominated for four Country Music Awards, including Best Female Vocalist - that's got to be a big deal for someone as young as she is to manage to do that! Go, Carrie!

What artists do you all like?

Country is the main music I listen to. I like so many of them. Carrie is ok, but I really like Kelly Clarkson.

Country music is my favorite! I still love Garth Brooks! Carrie Underwood does have an amazing voice and pressence!

To be honest, I've never really listened to country. But then again I don't really listen to much of anything.

I just recently got back into country music a little bit (I listened to it a lot growing up but then kind of fell out of it.) But I've gotten way more into lately and I'm glad that I have, there's some really good music out there.

Carrie is one of my favorites at the moment - however there's a bunch of other new (or new to me anyway) artists that I like a lot, like Sugarland and The Wreckers, and Rascal Flatts.

Oh, and I almost forgot. One of my other favorite artists - Miss Sara Evans who is going to be on Dancing with the Stars starting tonight (a show which I have a sad addiction to, it's so entertaining), so I will definitely be checking that out. She and Carrie are going up against each other for Best Female Vocalist this year at the CMAs. I don't even know who to root for!

There are so many Country songs out there that I like...it's hard to even begin to list them!

I LOVE country music. I have to many favorites to list. I don't care much for Garth. And although I think Kenny Chesney is hot I don't care for much of his music because it all sounds the same. I'm getting tired of that beach theme to all his music. I like Gretchen Wilson because she's a 'tell it like it is' kinda girl. I don't care much for Shania anymore. Not her new stuff anyways.

I really like the 80's country because it's what I remember when I was a kid and it takes me back.

What I like about country music right now is that there are a lot of different kinds of music that come under the term "country". Like even if you look at the list of people nominated for CMAs this year (http://www.cmaawards.com/2006/nomwin/nominees.asp) you see a TON of different kinds of artists. Bon Jovi is even on that list! There are more old school people who are I guess kind of classic (George Strait, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn) and newer, edgier artists (Sugarland, The Wreckers, Miranda Lambert.) There's a lot of depth to that kind of music right now. (And, if you were curious, that Wreckers CD is great.)

I actually went to a country bar last weekend, that was the best karoake ever!

I am a huge fan of country music! Carrie Underwood is wonderful I recently saw her in concert she put on a wonderful show. My all time faveorite group is Rascal Flatts. I also like Brad Paisley, Faith Hill, Garth Brooks, TIm Mcgraw, Kenny Chesney, Martina Mcbride, Shedaisy. I can got on and on! I am a big fan of music and can not stand silence.

I just started really listening to Rascal Flatts newest album recently! That and I appear to be going through a Johnny Cash kick. Oh, and Sara Evans

I read that both Carrie and Rascal Flatts are going to be performing at the CMA awards, so that'll be awesome to watch - I wonder what they willl sing? (I remember when they dueted on "Bless the Broken Road" on Idol and it was really awesome - I wonder if they would let them sing together again?).

I didnt know both of them will be preforming at the CMA awards thanks for telling us. I loved when they sang Bless the Broken Road together. Guess we will have to wait and see!

I can't wait to see Rascal Flatts on the CMA awards, I've never seen them perform live before, except on Idol, but they seem like they'd have lots of energy. Like I said, I'd love to see them perform with Carrie, but I imagine they will do something more recent. Is Me and My Gang their current single? Or is it that other newish one that I can't remember the name of? (I am so bad about stuff like that.)
