Default Shipping prices

You know it really bothers me when people charge way more for shipping. I know its handling too, but like double charging that is just wrong! I try and be really fair in my shipping prices and if I'm off, I've even given them money back.

I am so bad with shipping. I've been way under charging. But I am learning as I go. I just need to remember to charge for a box or package too.

I haven't sold a lot on ebay but the little bit I have sold I too have struggled with shipping prices. I'd always try to guess the costs but on several occassions I lost money because I undercharged. So now that I don't lose money, I always add a little ($1 or $2) to what I think the shipping cost will be. Sometimes I end up a little ahead other times I barely break even.

Shipping is so hard when you have a low price item. I hate when the shipping is more than the cost of the item itself.

I totally agree with Surfermom. It bugs me so much when sellers overcharge so much! Especially when it's a small item that could easily fit in a large envelope but they put it in a small priority box. If it's a fairly new seller overcharging, then I don't mind as much cause I realize it's a learning process. But for power sellers...it really irks me.

I find that annoying too. There are quite a few sellers on ebay that charge high shipping to pay less of a fee to ebay. When I started selling on ebay I invested in a small digital postal scale (less than $20) so I can easily calculate shipping costs.

you can also go to usps.com to figure out postage cost (as long as you know weight of package)

I agree -- overcharging for shipping stinks! I now don't bid on auctions where shippin is outrageous.
