Icon9 Question about my item if someone can help?

I just sold my item on eBay but it's a timeshare. So the person paid for the auction itself but then we had to get paperwork, fill it out, then send it to the new owner, then they were to send it in and take over the account and make the upcoming payments. Well we sent the paperwork to them but they have not sent it into to the timeshare company. Nor have they made any of the payments to the company. We've tried to contact them via email but we're getting no where! I don't know what to do. One of the two payments that should have been made by them came out of my account, which is ok because IF they paid it we would get reimbursed. But what should I do? It's been about two weeks since we've heard from them??? We keep sending emails saying we're not mad or anything we just want to know where they stand. I'm a new seller to eBay so I don't think I can do a non-paying bidder thing right where they did pay for the AUCTION but they didn't finish the transaction? What do I do??

I'm not sure what to tell you in this case. If I were in your shoes I would do two things: one, contact ebay to see if you have any ability to force them to follow through with their end of the commitment and two, I would contact a lawyer to get his view.

My gut instinct it that you are going to be out of luck. This is a big ticket item. Ultimately the buyer made an $8,000+ commitment to absorb your loan. I'm not sure how time share are viewed under the law meaning that for example real estate purchases have their own set of laws verses buying someone's furniture. I'm not sure what laws apply to time shares.

Let us know what happens.

I would call them and go from there. When you get them on the phone you can figure out if they are trying to screw you or if there is a problem with paperwork or whatever.
