Default Daily Check-in: Tuesday, April 2

Good Morning, Everyone!

I really need to figure out a way to get more sleep...the mattress is wonderful but I'm still waking up with a head full of "to do's"! It keeps me awake and in bed... plus it doesn't help that the wind is so loud and there's this constant steady tap coming from just outside my bedroom window...happens occasionally when its raining hard...can't figure it out! (Maybe it's coming from the gutter?) So... I got out of bed because I have homework to do and will do it after this post!! Most of what was on my brain though was work...there's just too much of it... feeling the end of the school year pressure. Actually brought home a budget because it was due today and there's a discrepancy... figuring it out took away from my homework time. (Ironically, it was for the budget that I do for my professor...think I can explain that? LOL!)

Speaking of school...actually did "OK" in front of the class with my part of the debate ...some of those guys are so comfortable though it "scares" me. School is definitely going to be a challenge...

Anyway... I guess yesterday's weight was an April Fool's joke as it jumped down 2 lbs today! Not sure why... but it could be because I had dental work Monday and haven't been able to chew anything so I was forced to eat mostly soft foods... that left out 100 calorie snack packs! So I actually kept to my points range! Anyway... not going to complain as that puts me closer to my end of the month goal. Although I do need to refocus on working out as I've been feeling a little "flabbier" around the middle and my arms are losing their tone... I know I've been slacking too much and I need to remember sleeveless shirt time is just around the corner...as is bathing suit!

Personally, I reconnected with an old friend last week and it seems like she and I are having similar experiences in our lives... we e-mailed back and forth yesterday and its making me realize that not everyone out that has that perfect life we see on TV and read about in novels...I guess I just need to learn to appreciate what I do have...

So....

My plan for today!!:

Food: Try to repeat yesterday and stick to 20-21 Points
Exercise: Elliptical and Day 3 (did Day 2 yesterday to make up for skipping it on Monday)
Water: Try to drink at least 36 oz -- anything is better than nothing!

Personal Goal:
*Organize my work and get it to wear I can prioritize...my desk right now looks like a tornado hit it...besides all the budget deadlines, I have over 15 events/ functions/ meetings/ luncheons that I'm organizing for April...some are even all day events so its a lot of work.
*Get my homework done...it's due Thursday.

Good Morning! I am so behind on school work for today that I am going to be in deep trouble.

Maria - what you wrote about sounds like anxiety which can really cause you to lose sleep. I went through periods like that right after we moved to Maine and finally ended up having to take some anti-anxiety medication in order to help even me out so I could get sleept again. You may want to talk to you doctor. I hope you can figure it out soon and get back to getting more sleep.

I'll try to post more later --- for now I have got to get my homework done.

I did 30:00 minutes on the elliptical and burned 172 calories. For some reasons I can burn many more calories on the treadmill in the same amount of time but the elliptical is a MUCH harder workout workout. I *feel* like I burn more calories on the elliptical than the treadmill although the calories counters on the machines don't agree with me.

Tomorrow I was going to work out, but Im going to a massage in the afternoon, so should I just take it easy? I know Im doing nothing afterwards for awhile lol. So I do need to make sure I get dinner going lol.

Got my hair done today. I neede a good colouring, so decided to have it done professionally, Im glad I did. I also got it highlighted and a quick trim on it. Figured it has been 6 or so weeks. At that price though Im going to have to hold off every 2 months... cost me $67 for colour, highlight and cut. Ouch. I can handle it every couple months though, but not every 6 weeks lol.

Im so confused on what to do job wise. I feel like I should be looking for a job now, but realistically I cant start til the fall, and then I dont know if Im going to be here or not. I just need to be patient and wait it out. I need to get through the summer and our vacations first. Maybe start looking the end of July, if I know Im still going to be here. Ugh.. I hate this... I want to know where Im going to be!
