Default Daily Check-In: Thursday April 17th

Good Morning!

I did manage to pull something together for my teacher. She was pretty cool and apparently I wasn't the only one who got confused about the assignment. Hopefully the very brief thing I turned in will suffice.

Anyways.

Kellie - I was so glad to hear from you! I miss you. I hope you will reconsider posting more with us. I'm sorry your DH is being such a potato-chip head. Why can't men realize that their wives need help around the house? This is such a pet peeve. My poor boys, I preach to both of them so much about doing household chores and have threatened to come hunt them down if they don't help others with basic living responsibilities when they get older.

Maria and Kellie - thanks for the vote of confidence about my motivation. Unfortunately I am not losing any weight and am getting very frustrated right now. Honestly I think my stress levels are very high from school and the hormones released because of the stress are prohibiting my weight loss. Nothing like making my body work against me.....

Maria - 2015! Girl you do need to step it up just a little bit anyways. My husband is like that. He is taking courses for his BS and also wants to do a MS. Because of the demands of his job he can't take many classes at a time. Right now he is doing 3 per semester but that only works if one of the three is an "easy" class. He has about 2 more years to finish his BS at that rate and then I think his MS might take him 6 years. It is really difficult when you also work.

Dulcie - How is your daughter feeling? First AF's can be difficult. I remember the day my oldest got hers....she cried and cried and said for me to take it away. She was so sick for days.

Kara - Hope you got some rest after Jen left.

Carissa - Kids grow up so fast! I also don't like to cook. I don't mind big productions like on Thanksgiving or so but I don't like cooking day to day stuff.

Well - today I am going to recover from my week. I need to prepare a speech that I have to give tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Hi girls,
Well I'm STILL sick. I still have a temp but not as high as yesterday. At one point yesterday it was 103.4. Yeah..no joke. I had chills so bad. My mom came over and drew me a bath and watched the kids so I could focus on getting my fever down. I still have one...100.2 currently but I expect it to rise as often happens during day. Luckily kids have school this morning and I can lay on couch and rest, then I take them to grandma's and pick them up tomorrow morning. I'm supposed to work tonight. What should I do? Also have team meeting today, too. Decisions decisions. Hopefully I'll feel better soon. Did I mention my head is throbbing? Send some get well wishes my way please.

Kara

kara... have you tried alternating Tylenol and Advil? I do it, and do it with my kids too. Give Advil, then about an hr later give Tylenol... making sure after that to take according to directions... Advil is usualy every 6 or 8 hrs and Tylenol every 4 hrs. Ive always given about 15 minutes before it was due to get it to start working.

Im sore today. Just now getting done with my bfast and my recovery drink (protein drink). The recovery drink sure helps with muscle soreness!! Keeps me full longer too. I couldnt eat all my oatmeal this morning, tasted good, but Im just full. I did great this workout. Pushed myself. Its back and shoulders..which means lots of pushups and pullups. Last week I could do 5 pushups (one again in one rep... I think there was 6 different ones)... and I did 7 of each, except for one. The last one you act like your sliding under a fence and dont touch the ground, then go back under. Last week I did 2 of those each time (twice)... this week I did 5 each time I was ready to quit... The video they are all doing 20-30, and here I am barely doing any. But then I realized I had to start somewhere. And those pushups are good ab workout too lol. Then I did the ab workout... which is killing me. I did more bicycles and reverse bicycles this time than I did any other time (the ab workout is 3 times a week).

Now I need to get busy. I wont have much time tomorrow morning, so I need to get everything going. I have to make a few loaves of bread, make some energy bars for me to snack on, throw together a chemise for Kyler, I should have made me another pair of drawers, but I didnt. I need to work on an order that should be further along than it is. I need to get everything packed. Tonight dh has to finish making the poles for our tents (not that hard, just got the wood yday). I may have to wake up early tomorrow to get in my workout since I wont get it in on Saturday (unless walking around with 15extra lbs is considered working out lol).

Dulcie-
I will try that. Thanks for the tip I'm feeling a bit better now. I'm going to go to my meeting at work then come home, shower, and crash. I'm still really achy, though

Woo Hoo! I got my air flight information for my trip to Slovakia today. We are flying into and out of Vienna so I will have the opportunity to see some sights in Vienna!

I am so excited, I can hardly control myself!

Glad your feeling some better kara.

Okay.. all this stuff to do and I have barely done any of it! Talk about being lazy. Actually I started, then dh wanted to eat lunch, and then he took me all over town because he didnt want to work. Then he told me to come home and get some sun on my legs.. they are a bit white lol. Problem is.. I burn easy! I was out for half an hr and my arms are starting to turn red... grrr. Legs..nothing. Ill just do 30 minutes on my legs everyday with hopes they will tan and not burn... Im not holding my breathe.

I took my measurements today and my hips went down a 1/4 of an inch, not much, but still. My waist went down 3 inchs though..from a 32 to a 29. I always lose it easily there, but I hate that my hips and waist are once again off. I dont mind some curve, but 8 inches difference makes it hard to shop for jeans lol.

Tonight I turn in my fire department application. Then it has to be voted on and I have to get signatures from active members. So we will see. Dh doesnt think it will be a problem since Im home during the day, they dont have hardly anyone home during the day to do calls. I need at least one more person to be home so we can do calls together. Once I become first responder though I can go alone.

Good day ladies,

I had a few minutes so I thought I would post. I am still ticked at dh, but at least I don't want to strangle him as much today as I did yesterday. Today both of my PK 3 classes has Spring Fling parties. They had some play time and then some parents had some crafts and books to read, so I had a pretty easy day. Only one thing, when parents are in, their kids act up majorly. Tommorrow my Pk 4 Am class has a Spring Fling and the afternoon class will go see our school production of the Wizard of Oz, that should be fun.

I have been eating pretty well this week. I have been drinking a protein shake for breakfast, eating salad and some fruit salad for lunch and a regular dinner only smaller protions. I think I am looking forward to my weigh in tommorrow.

Have a great night.

Kellie.. sounds busy!!! Glad your not so peeved at dh lol.

I turned in my application for fire department, got 2 signatures, now to see if they will vote me in on the 29th. From there I start classes. I dont know when the first ones start, I know EMT classes start August and I will be taking those (If they vote me in). Nervous me lol.

Got to ride on a motorcycle tonight too. Oh boy did I like that. And climbing on that motorcycle and off.. not a problem, did it just as graceful as I should. I would nto have been that comfortable with it a few months ago lol.

Ill be MIA for the next few days. Dh is on vacation, we have grandparents day.. no grandparents live around here lol. Then we are leaving for a reenactment.
