Hi everyone (looks like my smilies aren't going to be working this morning)

Well the fever has broken and wow do I feel a lot better. Niot as achy but still coughing and stuffy. That fever sure was intense....glad that part is over with. I feel so out of the loop what with company for most of the week and then being sick. I have gone back and read everybody's entries so I kind of know how everyone's doing. And hi to the new people who have joined us.

Jen and I had a wonderful time during her visit. We laughed and played with the kids, scrapbooked, took kids to Children's museum, let them play at McDonald's for hours, went to park, went on walk. The kids got along amazingly well. Jen's daughter took to my older daughter who's 5 almost more than Ava. We think it's cuz Caiti's sister (stepsister actually but we say sister) reminds her of Olivia because of how Hannah looks. They were so cute together. We got some really cute pics of the three of them. We'll definitely get together again and not wait two years before we see each other again.

Because of being in Eau Claire on Tuesday I didn't get back in time for my WW meeting and then on top of it getting sick. Let's just say this week is going to be spent focusing getting back on track, planning meals and snacks, and exercising. Jen bought me a housewarming gift of a WW cookbook so I'm excited to try recipes out of that I put together a binder for all my WW stuff to keep it all together and organized. I really like how it turned out and on the front and back it has inspirational sayings.

I have to share how excited I am that I found my new workout shoes. I tried on about 5 pairs total and knew that was the one the minute I put it on. They are Asics Women's Gel GT-2130. Oh my gosh they are so amazingly comfortable!!!!!!!!!!! And with the inserts they are just going to rock. They didn't have my size so have to order them but with my birthday right around the corner I'll be getting them soon. The way it looks I should have them on May 7 (hopefully) So a couple more weeks I have to wait Anybody have any experience with Asics? Like them? Not like them? I've never had that brand before so I'd like to hear anybody's experiences with them good or bad????

Well I think that about covers it. If anybody is up feel free to write to me I feel so out of the loop. Hope everyone has a terrific Friday.

Kara

Good Morning!

I'm glad you are feeling better Kara!

I have to give a speech at school this morning for a research paper (which turned into my thesis) that I wrote last semester. That means I have to get dressed up for a change. I *hate* getting dressed up. Blech!

I'm still excited about my trip to Europe this summer. I posted about the flight information yesterday but I think everyone missed it because it sort of got stuck in the middle of the thread. I am sooo excited because enroute to Slovakia we are flying into and out of Vienna which will enable me to tour around Vienna a little bit. I so wasn't meant to be a house person. I *love* to travel. I can't wait until the kids are all out of the house so I can travel around the world. To heck with saving money for retirement, I'm going to travel. Once the kids are gone, each year I'm going to go to a different country in Europe until I have vistited them all, then I want to do Australia, Africa and Egypt.

Anyways I have done really really awful with my eating this week. The stress has been high and the lack of time is unbelieveable so I've eaten what I've had easy access to. I also haven't exercised due to a pulled muscle in my back which makes it difficult to breathe and walk.

So today, I'm back on plan. I'm going to try to get to the grocery store and buy some healthy food.

Have a good day everyone!

P.S. Kellie - keep posting!

Sorry I hit reply before I finished. Kellie ater my keep posting comment I wanted to say that I am going to be in Pittsburgh a great portion of the summer. We should try to pick a day to get together or meet up somewhere. I will be kid free the first three weeks of June and then after that I will have my youngest two with me.

Allison-
So very excited for you and getting to go to Europe I have been to London, England and Scotland and it was amazing. My mom has been to New Zealand and Africa and just loved it. She went on safari in Africa...you'll definitely have to do that. Good for you to get back on track today. Good luck with your presentation this morning. Stress can definitely do bad things to us can't it?

Hi ladies,

Just got home from work, time just flies when I have tons of things to do. I can leave at 3:30, but I never do. Next week I only have 4 days to plan for because we have an inservice on Friday. The in-service is at my own school this time so maybe I can get some work done in my classroom, it looks like a bomb went off and I also have to plan my May calenday because we have tons of end of school activities to plan for.

Today was a great weigh in. I lost 4.4 lbs, making that a total of 13.4 lbs since March 28. Hopefully I can stay on track.......I need to think positive.....I will stay on track. My goal is to lose at least 2 lbs per week (I have a lot to lose) I am still at the beginning of the loss so I may lose more than that once I really start back to exercising. I try to walk when I can but don't have a consistant schedule yet.

Well off to softball practice and then dd has a sleep over to go to.

Have a good Friday. It is sunny and hot and it feels wonderful.

Dulcie, I ask this question before, but do you ever come near Pittsburgh for your re-enactments? Would love to see one.

Allison, your trip sounds great. You are such a world traveler. I am not too much of a traveler.

Kara, so glad you are feeling better.

Maria, what's up???
