an urgent prayer request for Friend's baby

I have a friend named Bobbie and she has 8 children (including 2 step children). We met on another board for homeschoolers over a two years ago.

Her youngest Baby Johnathan was born 4 months early in September of last year, He has been in the hospital since his birth. He has a hole in his heart and is need of a liver transplant. He has a cardiac catherazation done early May and the surgeon said that he is was a good canidate for the heart surgery. He cannot get a liver transplant unless the hole in his heart is repaired and he gains weight.

This little baby has been through so much. It was explained to her that without either surgery her infant son will not survive.

I just wanted to update you on JT. He is fighting the last of his battle. We are in a room holding him waiting for the ineveitable. But, today his suffering will be over. Sorry so short. I have to get back to my son. pdate on Caring Bridge, they are saying good bye to J.T.!!

I am in tears crying. I have come to know this little baby and his mother and I have shared our experiences as preemie moms. I felt a connection to her because of what I had gone through with my son Michael when he was a very ill preemie.

Please pray for my friend Bobbie, her family and her son Baby Johnathan. That Baby Johnathan not be in any pain and that his passing will be peaceful. Pray for all of us who have come to love this little boy as if he were our own.

**UPDATE**

Update From Bobbie Thursday May 17th

I just have to say one thing and I hope you all understand. Johnathan was healed today and he went home today. It was an answer to prayer. Just maybe not the answer that we thought we wanted. But, it was answered in God's way. And that is the way that HE works. I love you all. I thank you all for the prayers. You just don't know how much it helped me to come here and be able to vent or share my joys or my ups and downs.

Today at 5:15 pm. Johnathan Thomas Michael Poling decided to go home. He is now with the Lord and is suffering no more. He right now is meeting the Lord, and he is not hooked up to anything and he is free. Free to dance on clouds and eat chocolate pudding. Free of orders from doctor's and all the poking and prodding.

Thank you to each and everyone of you who have supported us and read through this journey with us.

Please know he was not alone and was surrounded with love when he took his last breath. He knew nothing but love and fought til the end. I told him not to that the fight was over and he could just rest. But, true to his form, he fought. Until he decided it was time. We are doing ok. We know that it was the right time for him and that he is awesomely happy right now.

Bobbie and her family wil be in my prayers. I hope she finds some peace. I can't imagine losing a child.
