Prayers Please
It seems like a petty thing really, but I am very scared and nervous and would appreciate any and all possible prayers...
We rented a small apartment from August 2000 to May of this year, at which time there were accusations made wrt dh's & my whereabouts when the apartment beneath us flooded. We were at work and are being held responsible for damages because "It had to be your shower, someone was home." This despite the fact we turned in time cards to prove otherwise.... so we moved out and filed our thirty day notice on 15 June {we'd moved out two weeks earlier but had hoped to be able to straighten things out. When that proved impossible, we filed our notice.} Now we have the end of our thirty days coming up, and at that time they will examine the apartment and charge us damages and so forth.. We are on a limited income, and the apartment manager has already stated we will only have the thirty days allowed by law to pay 'whatever damages we determine you owe'
At any rate, please pray for our continued success at our jobs and that we will be offered overtime over the next four weeks as we strive to pay off the bills. Please also pray that the damage bill will be such that we can still pay our other expenses during this time... THank you
