Karen was an english teacher for my oldest son in high school. She and her duahgter were in a car accidnet last week. Her daughter is doing okay with minor injuries, but Karen is still in the ICU. Here is a link to the Caring Bridge site her other daughter started.

I just read the story and looked at her pictures and I am just so sad. I am praying for her Nancy. It sounds like she is trying so hard to hang in there. A few years ago my children and I were in a horrible car wreck. My car rolled a few times and spun as well. We made news it was so bad. How we all 3 (Dylan not being born yet of course) came out of it alive is beyond me. I just know that God does have Angels for all of us and a perfect plan for all of us. We may not understand why things happen the way they do when they happen but, God knows and we will know some day. I will light my candles tonight for Karen and pray for her fervently!

Thanks for the added prayers At the schools Big Red B-B-Q last week, they had a giant card for people to sign. Everyone talked about her and the family. Adam, my oldest DS, said that he'd get her a couple of diet cokes when she wakes up. His freshman year, quite a few times, he'd make change for her so she could get her diet cokes She made a dif. in a lot of kids at Hemingford High School. And they're making a dif. in her life now
The latest journal entry Mike is back at the hospital and she was off the respirator for 6 hours today!

I know for a fact that the power of prayer works!! BTDT and I'll pass the story on so Karen and her family get all the prayers they can get!

HELP! I need your prayers! PLEASE!

I am disabled. Been having a tough time financially and the home I have is financed with a nasty company. They won't work with me.

My youngest son lives with me. He only gets part time work but is trying to help. I allowed his girlfriend to live here because she had no family here and lost her place to live. They both only get part time work and minimum wages.

My daughter got evicted. She, her husband and my granddaughter moved in a month ago. Her husband is looking for work but not much out there in my area. She works but is struggling to pay down her debts so they can move out into their own place.

I already filed bankruptcy but with my court payment and still trying to make my house payment I only have a little over a hundred left to pay everything else.

Well, my old oak tree split and the fire department told us to get out because the tree was going to come down and crush my house! No one would cut it on credit so I had to miss one payment on my house to pay for it. I sent a letter to the finance company but they have been nasty to me all along even before the bankruptcy. I sent my August payment late and they have not cashed the check. My son borrowed September's payment for me. I called today to try and pay it out of the savings I just opened with the money my son borrowed but they won't talk to me. Told me to call my lawyer. looks like they are taking my home! We will all be out with nowhere to go.

To be honest I worry more about my 3 beautiful Golden Retrievers. What if I cannot find a place that will take them and I need a home with a fenced-in yard and petdoor like I have to allow them to go out since my disability restricts my mobility? One is just starting to have a lot of medical problems from seizures so more money. I love them more than my own life. If I do not have enough money to buy food for me and them both I buy food for them.

I really need the power of prayer. I see the lawyer the 14th. He will discuss what if anything I can do to stop foreclosure or if we lose our home. So many now depend on me. MOM. I am mom to my dogs as well. They helped me through my chemo and one is trained to retrieve items for me.

I had one friend I recently met that is having personal as well as financial troubles. I do not even know him well but he seemed nice. He stops by to "borrow" money, gas or whatever. I just called him yesterday and got his mother on the phone. He was supposed to pay me $65 he owed plus fill up my gas can from his last loan. His mother chewed me out. She called me stupid for loaning him money when I have none myself.

All my so called friends have used me and my friendship many times. They call me a "nice" lady. But do not want to repay the loans. So right now I have no friends.

I no longer go to church. Last one I ran into a dishonest preacher and lost faith in the church but not God. The one before that I tried to get counsel from a deacon that wanted to take me to a motel to "counsel" me. What is wrong with the people we trust? When you find evil in every church you attend where do you turn?

Please just pray for me and my family that we will find guidence and not lose our home. That we find our peace and honest true friends. I have never asked anyone to ever pray for me. Perhaps that is what is wrong in my life. Someone once told me to pray for myself. I did not ask them to pray for me either but I told them to me God hears enough whining. I felt heavy guilt if I wanted to pray for myself or ask anyone to pray for me which is why I never asked until now. Thank you to any that pray for me and please do not jump on me right now. This camel cannot take any more straws on her back right now. Thanks.
