Prayers Needed For A Tall Order
Hello,
I am a 36 year old divorced Mother of an awesome 8 year-old son. We're both disabled. It is pretty much just the two of us since my parents have passed away and family members have since moved on.
Background:
I have multiple health conditions; Endemetriosis, a Floppy Heart Valve, High Blood Pressure, Asthma, Histoplasmosis, a Blood Clot in my Lung, Fibromyalgia & Chronic Fatigue, and numerous other medical and mental health issues. I've had approximately 31 surgeries within the past 8 years and I am preparing for another.
Situation:
I was just recently diagnosed with Type II Diabetes which runs in my family and I am having a lot of trouble sticking to a diet.
Since my Mother died when I was younger I never really learned how to cook, read the nutrition stats on the back of the food packages, nor substitute one spice or food for another in recipes. So when I am placed on a diet or given fancy recipes many require foods I've never heard of, spices or ingredients I do not have in my cabinet and ones I'll never use again in any other recipe, and those that list foods that are exotic or are located only in larger cities and that are very costly.
So I need prayer that will ask if the Lord can provide me with a load of will power, (no more fast food, little Mountain Dew, no more cold fudge sundaes each night nor sweets, and nothing that will cause my blood sugar to rise above or fall below my target or desired sugar range...130-150), to gain a wealth of knowledge about foods so I can keep not only myself but my son well, healthy and safe, (physically, medically, and mentally-sugar also affects ADHD, eat healthy), for me to lose weight by beginning an exercise program by walking and other means each day, (to lose 100 pounds in a healthy light), and to become mentally, physically and medically healthy at last. I also pray that I gain self-esteem and confidence and become closer to God. Eventually once I recover from many of these illnesses I pray that I can provide for my son financially and provide a better quality, (and a normal typical life), of life for he and I both.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
God's Blessing's To You As Well,
Melissa
