The new redirecting screen is really annoying and it's making it take longer to post, causing some people on our board not to post as much. Is there a reason it was added and is it permanent?

This redirect is a feature that was turned on to lessen the amount of work that the server had to do. It was intended to speed things up. I'm not certian about its permanence, but I'll let you know as soon as I hear.

As I posted on the debate board, it's not really making things faster. In fact, this site has loaded much much slower since you turned it on.

If you really want to help the server, and have it move faster, add the vBulletin hack in, that turns siggies off after the first post. It allows the siggy to be seen on the first post, but not in subsequent posts on the same thread. Make a new thread - you can see the siggy again on the first post in the new thread - but not in subsequent posts on that same thread.

This will help your server move faster than that silly screen you have on currently, will ever do.

I didn't know that was possible, but that's an excellent idea. There's no need to see someone's signature numerous times in one post. (turning mine off now )
I'm hoping you guys get this all figured out and that thing can go away. I don't claim to know anything about running a message board but it seems like there are other options out there.
