What does everyone think

Ok, something strange has happened that has never happened before during this process.

I am on day 33 and still no period....which is a good thing.....
Last night, I had some spotting, nothing big, and now it is gone...(implementation???)
I took a test this morning and it was neg......which is not a good thing...

I am going in to my doctor's to take a blood test and to see if I am preggers....

What do people think? Has this happened to anyone before?

Hello Robin,
How many days is your cycle normally? Spotting can be really weird. I actually started spotting about 5 days before AF was due last cycle. I was taking that as a good sign. Turned out it wasn't. Anyway, I hope that your blood test comes back positive. Let us know.

Well, the test was negative.....the doctor isn't sure why I haven't started my period yet....I usually go 30-31 days.....I am on day 34......that is so frustrating!

Although, the last time I was on Clomid (when I did the clomid challenge test)....my cycle that month was 36 days.....so perhaps the clomid is making my period late.

For the next try we are going to do an ultrasound to see how my eggs are on day 14 and do a trigger shot to time the insemen. better.

Stacy, how is your week going with all the baby making?

Robin, I'm sorry to hear that the test was negative. I hope they get things figured out for you quickly so that you get that BFP very soon.

Baby making went well hopefully. We inseminated on Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights. It's looking like I Ovulated on Monday so our timing looks great. Now it's all up to nature to take it's course and bring us our baby. I am trying not to think about it this time because last month I just made myself crazy. The time it worked before that we ended up losing, I didn't think about it at all basically through the 2ww. I figure if I do that again, maybe it will work again.

Clomid can make your cycle longer...

I spoke to my doctor today, and for this upcoming cycle, I am not going to do the clomid, I am going to try an alternative (can't remember the name, but I will get the prescription tomorrow).....he says that the side effects are not as much as with clomid. I really felt like my cycle was "off" last month.....I could just feel it not working right.

I am going in for a mid-cycle ultrasound to see how big the eggs are, and then a trigger shot when the time is right.

I picked up the new pills......I am on Femara......I did some research and it seems like it is a good alternative to clomid. It doesn't stay in you system as long as Clomid....and it doesn't reduce the lining in your uterus like clomid. And it does have fewer side effects.

I really hate taking these drugs. I never take drugs for anything, not even for headaches...so it feels weird to be doing this. But it is all for the cause. I guess.

I'm sorry the insem didn't work out but it is great that your doctor is working with you on finding that perfect combination. I wish you lots of baby dust next time.
