Well I think I am out this month

Well I am pretty down in the dumps today so sorry if this post is really on the negative side.

I tested this morning 12dpo and I got a negative so I am pretty sure I am out this month.
I am just beyond tired of the let down, the hormones, the emotional stress, the shots, the blood draws, the progesterone...just all of it.

I need to decide if I want to take two months off or keep going. I think I know what I want to do but I bet it is not what Lu wants to do so we'll see.

Hi Kristine,

Sorry you're feeling so down. I know how you feel. We were really hoping this month was going to be the month. I don't have it as rough as you though since I'm not doing any of the medical intervention. I'm sure it would be a lot worse if I were. I think maybe you should take at least a month off if you can talk Lu into that. Having a month off can really recharge you and it won't seem as long as two months. Then you can always take off the next month as well if you don't feel up to it just yet. It's a lot easier to say keep going when it's not your body going through all the stress of the ttc. She may be a little disappointed at first, but in the long run I'm sure she respects you enough to understand what you are going through. I know I do. I hope you start feeling better real soon. Let us know how things are going.
I'm getting ready to start another try probably starting this weekend or the first of next week. It's kind of weird. It was a year ago today that we found out we were pg. Of course, only to lose it. So, another milestone I guess.

Lu and I talked and she totally agreed that we should take some time off. I was completely shocked because in the past she was like, no, no, no...so when I brought it up this time I think she could see the desperation in my eyes and was like ok no problem. So we will not be inseminating again until May. I have to admit I am really looking forward to the break.

Did you do you inseminations yet? How did they go? I wish you lots of Baby Dust! Infact you can have all of my babydust as I take a little intermission

I'm glad to hear that Lu was on board for taking a break. I'm sure it will do you a world of good. Even though you are on a break, I hope you still pop in and see how we all are doing here. I would love to hear from you still.
We started insems last night. Will do another one tonight and probably tomorrow night as well. Will see how my temps are. We will usually do them until I get a temp spike. Thanks for the use of your Baby Dust as well. I will use it to it's fullest. I can use all the help I can get. Trust me.

Hi Ladies

I totally agree with taking a break. I remember feeling the exact
same way last month. Unfort for me I am of "advanced maternal age"
so time is of the essence to us..but I too had to take time away
from the meds blood sticks and just the ups n downs of bfn
my E2 hasnt risen in the last 7 months so I havent even made
it to my first IUI yet...only had one good cyc back in July 05
I wanted to wish you luck!
and let u know how much all of us here on the boards
understand exactly how u both feel.

Kristine I'm so sorry your last cycle was a bust.
I can remember well the feelings you are going through and I too think a little break is a good idea, for both your mind and your body. Use the time to pamper yourself and enjoy life with your DP, and hopefully come back to TTCing full of renewed energy and strength. My heart goes out to you and your DP in your struggles to make a family - all the years of planning I did, and the 4 years and many tears it took to bring Mason to us are always in the back of my mind... I just hope that you have the same eventual happy ending that we have. You too Stacy, good luck with this week's insems - may this be your winning cycle!

oh whoops, I meant to include you too Barbara. I understand about feeling like you are running out of time - I too am of "advanced maternal age" giving birth to my first (and only) child just before my 40th birthday. That loud ticking was getting louder and louder every month I was struggling to TTC. It just adds so much pressure - and is something so out of your control. I hope it's not much longer before you also have the wonderful news of a BFP.

(I love this board and the support people offer) Thank you ladies, you know sometimes when I post things its to get everyones approval (i know that is silly but it makes me feel better) to make sure I am making the right decisions and I really feel good about this one.

I can under stand the of maternal age thing a little. Although I am 27 my DP is 42 and she really feels like its now or never she doesn't want to be to old trying to run after a child. Wishing everyone a all the baby dust in the world....Thanks again for your support!!!

At my job on Monday a customer (who worked for pharmaceutical company)
was traveling to China his company is working for a "natural holistic medication
for the bird flu.....
if he said one thing intresting he said many....
but what really got me is when he said if you want to keep up with a child
or baby (now he knows nothing about me)
he said you have to be in shape like a baby
he said just remember to eat right take a multivit
and yes exercise.......so I dusted off my gym bike downstairs
and started peddeling....

and thank you too Jeannette for yr kind words as well!
I hope we all get our dreams in the very near future!

I have read many of your posts on other boards as well so I do know of some of your struggles. Thanks for stopping in on this board.

Barabara - You are awesome....You know I try to tell her she is full of life and energy, heck half the time its me who is warn out. Anyway I think that guy was completely right though. I too have started to do a little exercising because I got into the winter laziness but as it starts to get nicer I feel more encouraged to do more activities.
