It looks like this board is getting some action . Just wanted to introduce myself and have others do the same. I am looking forward to this being a great place for support and question answering. Please tell us your story!!

I have a 7 1/2 month old daughter by at home insemination. We got PG on the 2nd cycle when I was 28. I charted my temps for 6 months and I also got on the ball early and did the prenatal vitamins to start boosting the folic acid. I also went to the doctors and got ALL the prenatal tests done in the begining. Usually they wait until after you are PG in the "straight" world but I wanted make sure I was 100% AOK before doing this!

We are blessed with very cute adorable little girl with such an easygoing personality. I base some of that on the fact that at 1 week old she was diagnosed with VSD. A hole in the walls of the lower chambers of the heart. So she got used to people poking and prodding her early!! But she is a healthy girl and though the hole is still there she is doing great on meds and it is closing. But you would never know... the meds keep the condition in check and she is just a joy.

Not much extra to add to what I've already posted about me; I talk alot. I have three wonderful neices, and two nephews, one still in the oven, that I live with. They make it easier and harder to TtC because I get experience, and love, and their Mom lets me mother them a lot. Some days I think that they are TRYING to convince me not to have any kids of my own, but I love them so much.

Can we talk about almost anything on this board, like favorite books and such, or does everyone want to keep it strictly TTC?

My name is Kristine. I am 26 yrs old and 7 weeks pregnant. My DP (Lu) and I have been very lucky in our efforts of trying to get PG. We did natural cycle IUI and it worked on the first try. YIPPEE! I love to see this forum be about a little bit of everything, movies, books, pregnancies and just life in general. I am really excited about having a support group. I have many lesbian friends who have children so they offer alot of support and insight but I always like to get a perspective from people outside of the DC Area.

Lu and I have been together for 2 years. We meet at a camp called Becoming an Outdoors Women. At that time I lived in Delaware and she lived in DC. After alot of discussions we decided I would relocate to this area. I am so happy that is what we decided because I love it down here. Like I said I am 26 she is 41 so we do have a bit of an age gap but we have not seen this to be a problem. We love to go out and travel as well as hang out with friends and family. We have two chihuahua's Lili and Chica they are our pride and joys. (I'm sure that may change once baby arrives)
