Re: Summer Chit Chat IV
Care - thanks for the advice. That's what I was planning on doing, I just hate worrying about things! (So, stop....right?)
Yeah, I'm a teacher too - high school band director currently (I'd rather be middle school, but this works for now). We go back the 10th, but I have camp starting tomorrow so it's going to be hard for me to get into the dr. It's not like I can get a sub for band camp! Hopefully, I'll just start bleeding soon!!!!!!!

Re: Summer Chit Chat IV
Suellen, I had the same thing on BCPs. Would have a lot of spotting and it usually took 4-5 days for me to get my period after going off BCPs, so give it time. You will know when you get your period, although I remember having discussions with my DP about whether I really "got it" b/c I would have bright red bleeding (short lived, like 1-2 wipes of TP) following by nothing the day before I actually got my period. I went in a time or two the day after this type of bleeing and I still had significant lining but as long as my estrogen was ok, I got the go-ahead to start meds; I always got the go-ahead. I think I could have waited one more day to go in on those occasions. I definitely know what you mean about not wanting to miss the start of your cycle! Bottom Line: Don't worry!

Re: Summer Chit Chat IV
Suellen - how frustrating! I can't wait to hear your update. an appointment on the first day of school would be nearly impossible, wouldn't it be?
Patty - I think that's it for my betas. Since I seem to be progressing well, my next appointment isn't until 8/6 and will include an ultrasound. I'm excited to see a successful IUI cycle too! Hopefully Shannon, Suellen and Sheena are right behind me.

Re: Summer Chit Chat IV
Jess- Two betas sounds about right. My RE only actually wanted to do one, and I requested the second. I only had the 3rd and 4th because I was concerned about my back pain, and I had to have the 5th because of the bleeding. August 6th isn't too bad of a wait for the ultrasound. Less than 2 weeks. It will seem like an eternity though!
Suellen- Let us know what happens with ! I hope she works out conveniently for you two!

Re: Summer Chit Chat IV
Hi all,
It sounds like there has been some good news of late! Congrats to each of you with good news to share. And here's definitely hoping a string of successfull IUI's is on it's way!
I have to share a few things with you. I've been away on vacation for the last week. We were thinking of stopping TTC as of this month, but something told me to try this again. While on vacation, and the last couple of weeks, I've had this strong sense that I will get pregnant this cycle. Unlike the previous 9 months, things have just fallen into place perfectly. For example, we wanted to order 1 IUI and 2 ICI vials, and the new donor we selected this cycle had only 1 IUI vial, and 3 ICI vials available! We had sperm shipped to our campground (bet that was a first for them!) in case we needed to inseminate before we got home, but we didn't; that turned out to be no problem at all, despite my concern that it would be a pain to have it shipped there (how funny was it to be driving around all of the northeast with a tank of sperm in the car for four days?!). And we decided to come back a day early in order not to miss the big O -- and it turned out to be perfect timing. Plus, DP has been talking about the name, "Olivia" for a baby. I've never heard of another Olivia, but in one day on vacation, we met two different babies with that name. On the drive home, I happened to glance up at a billboard that said, "MOM," and that's it -- just MOM. I also dreamt about holding babies or being pregnant almost every night of the last two weeks. Little things here and there have been coming up that feel like signs to me, and it's almost spooky. I feel really good about things this time. Thus begins the 2ww. I hope to be able to share some good news with y'all soon!
And thanks for sharing all of YOUR good news with us!
Baby dust,
Max

Re: Summer Chit Chat IV
Welcome back Max. It sounds like you had a great vacation! I am that this IS it for you! The month of my successful cy I read my horoscope in the weekly newspaper (I never do this) and it said something about flowers growing where it was once barren and something about something frozen being thawed to become alive with life (or something) I kept it and put it on my computer to look at everyday. It gave m chills when I rad it and I had DP read it and she just looked up at me with these BIG eyes. So signs DO HAPPEN!!!
