(((((thanks ladies))))))

I appreciate the support.

You have to admit the chicken thing was kind funny in a sick sort of way.

Laura - I meant to say earlier that I have so much respect for what you're going through. Every time I even think about giving up so that Kelly (who really isn't interested) can try, I well up. I would definitely have to mourn my own fertility before moving on. Kelly and I have already talked about seeking counseling if that's a direction we would need to take. I think I would need help getting past the sadness and jealousy. Bless your heart.

Suellen - Your outlook made my day. Thanks for talking about your perspective on this board. Talk about "courage, strength and positivity!" I think you were describing yourself.

hello everyone

laura- I know my g/f feels the same way when we talked about having kids she was always suppossed to be the bio mom but by the time we were ready she found out she had Fibroids and would have to go through surgery that might not even work so we decided I would try. I am very glad I was able to get pregnant but I know no matter who carried the child I would love the baby the same and after the baby is born she will legally adopt him/her and the child will have both of our last names.

Hi everyone -
Thanks for the kind words & support. I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes & all choked up from the things you wrote. I almost didn't admit that I was feeling sad & jealous, but I'm so glad I did. Your support means the world. I guess I thought I was over the not-being-able-to-get-pregnant-thing. Now that I think about it, it's pretty silly to think I would "get over" it. I have to remind myself that it will be a process. I also have to remind myself that it is possible to be sad & really happy at the same time.

Cheyenne - you had the U/S HOW EXCITING!! I can't wait for ours! Post those pics soon!

Jes - How 'bout that step mom?! I think we could start a whole thread on dumb (mostly hetero) things people say. My brother-in-law, who I adore, asked what we (after we have the baby) will do on father's day. HUH?! Um....I'm going to put on a fake beard & smoke a pipe! WTH?
And this one we get a lot "What happens if you 2 break up?" Does anyone EVER say that to a straight couple? Although, I do have to tell you that about 20 years ago when my sister & her husband got divorced someone did ask her if they were going to keep the kids, who were adopted!! People can be really dumb.

I'm going to go eat a big bowl of icecream!

It's really easy to be positive when you haven't yet gotten a BFN!

I had the u/s today to check on the progress of my little follies. Things look good. (Quick question - can your lining be too thick? The nurse said they want it to be over 8 and mine was like 14!) I'm scheduled for two IUI - tomorrow and Friday. Excited....anxious.....not looking forward to sitting around the next two weeks and wondering. At least I'll be in good company!

Laura, you're so sweet. I hope you enjoyed that ice cream. Thanks for telling me about the other situations where people said lame things. That comment to the adopted parents really takes the cake.

Swell - I hope that means you're feeling really positive! I don't think you need to worry about your lining being too thick. That sounds really great to me! I'm excited to have you join me in the 2WW. I'm now 4 DPO and it seems like all the clocks have slowed.

oh yeah, and:

Cheyenne: congratulations! I'm glad you got your wish and have just one. Enjoy your vacation!

Care: I'm excited for you. Tomorrow, right? You'll be in my prayers.

everyone: what are y'all planning on doing with your kid's last name? Wannabeamom made me want to ask all of you. Kelly and I are planning on changing my last name and giving her last name to the kiddos.
