Hello Sabrina and welcome. I hope you get your positive at the end of your two week wait. Stick around and let us know if you are having any symptoms.

Sabrina, just hold out on testing for as long as you can. I have been really bad about that and have tested early way too much. It is possible to get "false negatives" if you test too early. It's less likely to get a "false positive". Usually, if you test and get a positive, you are definitely pregnant. What people usually consider "false positives" is when you have a chemical pregnancy, which is a very very early miscarriage. Most of the time, people don't notice these because they are not testing early to find out if they are pregnant. Typically, AF arrives still on time, or maybe a couple of days later than normal and it's never detected. I hope this situation never finds you.

This will be my first child. DP has a daughter from a previous relationship that we are raising. We are using a known donor and inseminating at home. We started last November and we got pregnant in February on our 3rd attempt. However, it was an ectopic pregnancy. We have started trying again with a new known donor and just finished our 4th failed attempt. We will be taking this month off as our donor will be in London during ovulation. Hopefully we will start back up in December.
