New to this Board

Hello there,

My partner and I of 8 years are TTC baby #2. We have a 4 year old daughter, and have been trying for 2 years for a sibling. I have PCOS, getting pregnant with our daughter was easy...1 IUI and that was that. This time OYE! That is all I can say. We were doing natural cycles at home till sept of last year. The we started doing natural cycles and IUIs....nada. March we used clomid...not one egg materialized. In May we tried letrazole and Gonal F...the eggs got to like 12 mm then halted...the following week they musta grown cause i Did ovulate but alas we were too late! Then in June...we used Gonal F and Dexamethasone. I grew an egg...yes one egg...usually you can get 5 or more...I grew...one. We did an HCG trigger and 2 IUIs...the 2ww was heck...and nothing...bfn all over the place. Since my insurance only covers so may sonos in a 60 day period, this month I get to endure Birth controll pills, and then restart the Gonal F aug 10th. OK so now You pretty much got the low down on me, hope it wasn't too much info for a newbie!

Welcome Mommy2sarah. Wow! It really sounds like you have been through the ringer. All this getting pregnant stuff is not as easy as some people like to think. I really hope things get easier for you very soon and you get that ever sought after BFP. My partner and I have been together for 1 1/2 years. We just got married in June. We started trying last November. On our third cycle, in January, we got our BFP. Unfortunately, we lost it at 6 weeks to either a miscarriage or ectopic. Not really sure which. We started trying again last month and our currently in the 2ww of our second cycle. We are using fresh sperm at home. I wish you all the luck and baby dust in the world. I look forward to getting to know you better.

I hope you feel at home on the board here, this really is a great group of women! Very supportive and caring to one another!!! My gosh, sounds like you two have been through the gamut trying to conceive #2!!! I am ttc our first, we start inseminating tomorrow and I am a bag of happy, excited, and nervous all at the same time! LOL We are imseminating every other day throughout the next week. I will add you to my prayer list and I am sending lots of warm wishes and "babydust" your way! Welcome again, I am looking forward to getting to know you!

Hope all goes well for your inseminations. Are you using fresh donor? Keeping fingers crossed for you for a BFP in a few weeks.

Hi there Stacy

Hope the 2ww is treating you welll and that you get a BFP real soon.

It seems like it was so much easier getting pregnant with Sarah. I am skeptical that thes drugs are working. I dunno sometimes I wonder if I do what I did to get pregnant the first time...it would happen again, of course I would have to to to the same person that did the IUI the first time. I just dont want to fly to CA to do it!

Hi Andrea!
Inseminations went off without a hitch! We are using fresh sperm donations. My GYN told us that conception can potentially occur any time between day 14 and day 21, so we started yesterday and are going to be inseminating every other day until the fouth of August. I hoping we can catch the egg this month! I haven't said anything to my family (although they know that we were getting ready to start trying) because I really want to aviod the "anything yet?" routine from anyone. I am trying to stay very relaxed and stress free and am just going to wait for nature to take its course!

Good luck to you and I hope this next cycle if the one for you! You are in my prayers by name now, LOL!!! Sending lots of baby-wishes and babydust!

The 2ww is miserable. I have another week to o. It feels like it is taking forever. I hope all is going well with you. Sometimes when it feels like its not working is when it does. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I can relate to the 2ww I think i much rather have a root canal then have to be tortured by evey little, possible "sign" of pregnancy! Aug 10th can't come fast enough for me...I am so wishing that this time will be the one! Sigh...

Sounds like you have secondary infertility maybe... I hope that when I start trying to conceive in a couple years that it is just as easy as the first time!!

Hey Girls. My wife, Inger, just inseminated this morning, and we are going back this afternoon to have another insemination. She had neg OPK Tuesday night, but positive Wednesday a.m. So, we too are entering the 2WW. We'll help each other get through this grueling time. Sticky bean vibes to us all
