Negative test

Well, I tested negative on Tuesday, got AF on Thursday, re-tested on Saturday just to be sure, and was negative. When I got the first reading, I cried uncontrollably. I scared my wife when I called her at work to tell her we weren't PG. We bought a fertility monitor to use this month. We should inseminate next Tuesday or Wednesday again. How does the temp thing work? Am I ovulating when the temp rises or falls? Has anybody out there used frozen sperm IUI. How many insems did you do? What works? I'm sorry, but patience has never been my strong point.

I'm so sorry for your negative! The rise in temp comes after you ovulate. As for what works, I don't know. I've used fresh sperm every time. First time TTC, I got it right, got PG, but it was ectopic. Nothing since then.

if you just got AF on thursday why are you insemig next week?
With temping, you take your temp first thing in the morning before you even get out of bed...temp stays low before O then rises after O..
I usually O on CD 18, some O on CD 12,14 16 etc etc

I think you might have insemed too early...how long are your cycles?

my friend got PG useing frozen sperm, she would insem every other day for 3 days of insem.....took her 3 months

Sorry it didn't happen this time for you!! Do you temp every day? You should be charting every morning before you step foot out of bed. That gives you the best reading for your temp. Do you have the Taking Charge of your Fertility book? It will really help you! I wouldn't spend money on the sperm until you find out your bodies rhythm. Good luck. I have a spreadsheet with the chart that you can print out every month if you need it. Let me know!

I've been using the OPK for the past few months, and I always surge around day 14 or 15. I ended my period yesterday, so I'm figuring I'll be ovulating next Wednesday or Thursday. It's been the same every month. But I'll start my temp taking tomorrow morning. I overslept this morning and woke in a panic, forgot to take temp. Oops. I'll let you all know next week how everything went. Thanks for the info.

I forgot to tell you mom2kk. I think last month I inseminated too late. My OPK was almost blue on Wed. night, was blue on Thursday a.m. at 5:30 and I inseminated on Friday at 3 p.m. I'm thinking I should have gone in the morning on Friday. What do you think?

I think if you get an almost blue, you should Insem the next day....I read on a site that you shouldnt insem day of O cos you can miss the egg always better to insem before O...
We insem'd friday the 15th then again on the 20th I think I O'd the 20th....

hi girls..I need help!! If you are currently going to a clinic for you IUI's or have so in the past I need your input on something. Wednesday I got my LH surge and called the nurse at my clinic and told her I was surging and she said everyone was going home for the Thanksgiving Day holiday..Well thats cool but when I asked her if the on call person could inseminate me she said no one wanted to come in on Friday, Saturday or Sunday either..excuse me but does this sound normal at a fertility clinic to say tough toe nails to clients that are ovulating..When I told her I may be surging next month during X-mas break she said I will have to miss December too..so what she is saying is I may not get to insemenate again until mid January..this seems really odd to me and I know there are straight couples who also wait desperately for ovulation each month and I dont think they would take it too lightly..This is a reproductive clinic!! This is what they do..What are the typical policies of the clinics you guys have gone to?? I was under the impression that when a client is ovulating that come hell or high water you will get your insemenation. Help!! I think I may be a victim of discrimination..am I being paranoid??? Kim
