Re: July's chatty thread!
anne &berta: hope the tww is quick and speedy for you with BFP at the end... as for the little bt of discharge that is normal after an iui..since you just had it yesterday its probably from the procedure.. like you said if you were expereincing that around day 5-12 it might be implantantion... but not all women hae implantation too.. i did not have it when i was pregnant.. but then again i had a chemical a week after i found out..just keep your head up... is this your first insemination and iui?

Re: July's chatty thread!
Hey Starztt, yes, it's our first iui, but we tried 3 times at home -- kind of like you guys, huh? Have you done IUI or just the clomid with the shot? You had a chemical the week after you found out? Found out what? it's amazing to me how much time I can spend thinking about this!

Re: July's chatty thread!
Anne and Berta,
My DP and I are on 8 DPO IUI right now. We had our first IUI on the 28th of June. I experienced strong cramping for about twenty minutes afterwards... I'm now in the obsessive wait. I've experienced weird cramping daily...not for any periods of time...just a few twinges here and here...CM has remained there...no dryness to speak of. Like, you, my dr said that my cervix was nice and open and my CM looked good. We did a hcg shot on Friday night and inseminated Saturday afternoon...almost 24 hours after the shot. I too, worried about the timing of it all, but she assured me it would be okay. I was a week late ovulating so she had me come in for an u/s and I had two follicles...so she gave me the Rx and I gave myself the shot.
I'm obsessive about looking for symptoms but if anything were to happen it would have happened this weekend, so now I'll be even more obsessive...
Things I've experienced so far (and I'm not charting, but I do have to say that I am hotter than I've been before...much more sensetive to heat...can't sleep under covers anymore...too hot!! Then again, I live in Temecula, CA where it's like 100 degrees...but we have AC so who knows)
- moodiness
- strange twinge cramping
- high cervix (up until today when it dropped, but I'll check it again later so who knows)
- CM...kind of lotiony-yellow (sorry, TMI) some days and thin white lotiony the next
- nipples are really sore
- couldn't open my eyes from a nap today to save my life...
- STRANGE and vivid dreams
- I guess I'm peeing more...who knows...
Here are my only issues and maybe someone can help me with this:
1. Why did my cervix all of a sudden drop?
2. I took a PT test...(hey, just wanted to see the positive and I knew I would because the shot was 10,000 units and I was told that it would remain in my system for two weeks...I was told I would get a false positive if i tested, but I just wanted to see what it looked like to get a positive, you know?) But, I took a test this afternoon (not FMU) and it came back a BFN. What's up with that?
Baby dust to you all!!!
I'd like to be on the list too. I loved getting to know Starztt...that was fun.

Re: July's chatty thread!
Babydust- I added you. You are right after Hematite.
as for your questions...
1. Cervix can be tricky...not sure of the answer on this one...
2. Your body has already gotten rid of the HCG shot. so if you get a positive now it is real. I would test everyday after the shot to see when it left my system and on average it was gone in about 5 days.
Your symptoms sound good!!!

Re: July's chatty thread!
Really?!! So, I guess that means I'm buying more kits tomorrow!!! It's so difficult to pick the right ones, you know? Do I want the more sensitive of tests, or what? It's compulsive.
Thanks for the information. It's amazing how the mind will play tricks. All the information I read describes pretty much the same thing, but then again, every woman is different. I didn't have any implantation spotting, but apparently only 30% of women do... It's really exciting, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up either... At least I only have to wait four more days before I test and do my beta on Friday (which would be 13 days since IUI). We're having family over on saturday so I'm hoping it'll be more of a celebration.

Re: July's chatty thread!
Anna & Berta, I had the same thing happen to me on my first IUI. Dark...even blackish discharge about 2 hours after it happened. It went away sometime the next day. Doc said it was normal from the procedure. The 2nd IUI, no discharge. Different Doc the second time.
Babydust, I hope your symptoms bring you a BFP.
I'll probably have my next IUI this coming weekend.
