Re: July/Aug Chatty thread...
Ok guys, I need some chart stalkers please!! I started ewcm early, which concerned me. But this morning I had a much higher temp than normal. Of the six cycles on FF -- I Od on cd 18 on all of them. And on the YEARS of paper charting -- I Od on a day other than cd 18 maybe three times.
My donor is shipping the "goods" tomorrow night for a Friday insim. And remember, this is not going to be cryo frozen, so if I dont use it, Ill lose it.
Do I call him and put off shipping till next cycle, and save on shipping? Or do I go ahead as planned??

Re: July/Aug Chatty thread...
startzz - Everythign sounds like positive signs. I hope this is it for you
Linds - based on your past coverlines it looks like you o'ed early. Did you have a disturbance today? or were you taking anything different that might of caused you to O sooner. I think if your tempature is back down tomorrow then you are still good. If it stays up tomorrow i think you o'ed early. Do you take OPK tests?
I too need some chart stalkers. I got my first positive OPk sunday night, then monday morning and tuesday morning. Today it was negative. I also got the peak on the monitor on Monday and Tuesday. The ovusoft software has my o date as yesterday but my temp did not rise yet. Do you think I should o today and my temp go up tomorrow or do you think the software is right. We did an insem on Sunday and we were supposed to do one on tuesday night but our donor was not feeling well so we did it today instead. Please tell me my timing for both days looks good.

Re: July/Aug Chatty thread...
I wish I could help you ladies but I've never had to chart either. Sounds confusing!
Starz - when will you POAS?
I'm one tiny step closer to FET. We met with the lawyer yesterday & of course, our situation is unusual so she has to write the contract from scratch. It should take a few weeks, which I think will be fine with my cycle. It's going to cost $750! I know in the big picture it could be worse to TTC, but I wasn't expecting that much for one contract!
I also have my sonohistogram scheduled for next Thursday - things are moving along

Re: July/Aug Chatty thread...
Well crap.... I guess Ill just see what tomorrows temp is and base my decision on that. If its up, Ill call Mr Donor and cancel for this cycle. If its down, Ill call it a go.
Mistee thinks Ive been spending too much time freaking out about getting preggo again - and my body is like, "If you want me to ovulate so bad -- BAM!! There you go!!"

Re: July/Aug Chatty thread...
Sorry my charting days were like 2 years ago so I don't really remember.
Good luck Starztt, the one time I did get pregnant I didn't really have any symptoms until after I found out.
Lindsey- I would trust your body and go ahead with what you feel in your gut.
Well I am in the waiting game.. The IVF coordinater called today and said they were waiting on my evaluation to come back and then the DR reviews it then it goes to the IVF nurse who then trys to match me with an egg recipient. I hope it doesn't take too long, i am ready to go again!

Re: July/Aug Chatty thread...
Shannon - can I ask some personal questions? (as if ALL the questions around here aren't personal!) I remember you were having a hard time with the cost of IVF. Do you have to pay for the egg? I know egg donors can get compensated quite nicely - I'm wondering if they cost the recipient that much. How do they come up with a match for you? Do you have any input? Just curious.

Re: July/Aug Chatty thread...
Ignore the above!
Ohhhhh, I think I just answered my own question. You are donating an egg in order to be able to do IVF, right? I must have missed that before. Whe I read your post I was surprised because I didn't think there was a problem with your eggs.
So - how does the process work in terms of finding a recipient?

Re: July/Aug Chatty thread...
I think they just give someone my baby picture and profile and if they pick me they cover about 50% percent of my cost. I will have to pay about $7,000 out of pocket. Shared cycle is a little different a lot of women would rather receive donor eggs but they are frozen so the odds for the recipient go down, with a shared cycle when I start stimulating meds the recipient starts meds to accept an embryo, the pros of a shared cycle is the eggs are not frozen the recipient gets to go through a "fresh" cycle and the odds are better for her. this is apparently very controversial and DP and I had to go through some extreme physcological testing to be sure we are aware of all the risks to us, such as a child possible finding me later on in life. all are low probability but it is almost like they try to discourage you to donate which really surprises me but I guess that is how they weed out the ones that just want the money. My RE says they have a waiting list of women needing eggs so I am just waiting for the right one to find me I guess.

Re: July/Aug Chatty thread...
Hey, Errybody . . .
Well my stupid period showed up but thankfully not until AFTER our honeymoon night. I was mad especially because I won't be in town during my next anticipated ovulation, so we have to skip this next cycle, and it's the last one before school starts (I'm a teacher) and making it to all those ultrasound/insemination appointments will be a real pain in the a$s during the first month of classes. Summer is so much more relaxed! But you do what you gotta do, I guess.
Anyway San Diego, or more specifically, the island of Coronado, was GREAT! We got married outside at city hall and I couldn't have been happier. It was so romantic staying at the Hotel Del and swimming in the Pacific. Bliss! And we're legally married! Yeay!

Re: July/Aug Chatty thread...
A&B Congrats!! How exciting for you!! Maybe someday we can join you in wedded bliss. However, since we live down here in "Bush country" (Tx) itll probably be a cold day in.....
Well girls, Im out this cycle. My temp was high again this morning. Ive had a complete dry up of ewcm. I emailed our donor this morning and will call him later. Its just so agervating. In FOUR YEARS of tracking my cycles - Ive NEVER been early to O. Late maybe, but not early. If Id have been using opks (Ive never used them before), I would not have even been testing yet, its so early. FF shows O on cd 15, which I think is right. Thats three days early.....
To top it off, I had my hair aptmnt last night. Im real easy to get along with when it comes to my hair. I love what he did, but the bleach totally fried my head! Ive got nasty blisters all over my scalp! Yuk!

Re: July/Aug Chatty thread...
ok ladies i need a little advise. I am getting frustrated because my temp has not risen yet and I think it should of because of the FM and OPK tests. Can you have a positive OPK and not ovulate?
I was thinking today maybe it is the thermometer. So, I took my tempature when i first woke up it was 97.2. I began thinking to myself, ok there is no way this can be right, so my obsessing began and this thermometer is making me crazy.
So here is how i decided to test the thermometer
I took my tempeture before i got out of bed 97.2 then i did some of my morning routine and about 15 minutes later i took it again and it still says 97.2 but if I take my temp three times back to back it eventually goes up to about 97.9. I got in the shower, then got out and this time it was 97.5 (ok the hot water from the shower made it go up). I Did some more morning stuff then it says 96.4. Now you can see why I am going crazy.
I also realized today that my thermometer is not a Basal thermometer, it is just a "regular" digital thermometer. It did not say basal anywhere on the box. Will that make a difference when taking yuor tempature?

Linds- Im sooooo sorry that is really annoying! (to say the least!)
Tammy- I would buy a new one too. How is your cm? That can give you an indication of whether you have o'ed or not.

Re: July/Aug Chatty thread...
Well to be honest, I am not too sure how to tell the CM. I know that some was there on Mon and Tuesday when I wiped and i guess you could say it was stretchy. There was never anything there yesterday, then last night and this morning there was stuff therre which i assumed was semen. Honestly though, i dont know much about either to really tell. I do know that it seems to be dry now when i wipe.
I thought charting would make it easier to tell if i ovulated for sure rather then just rely on the tests but now it is just making me question more, so i have a feeling i should just say screw it and not chart at all.
