Re: January Chatty thread
Suellen- I am so sorry to hear about your count. Here is a link to OB/Gyn's website page on Ectopic pregnancies. OBGYN.net Publications - Ectopic Pregnancy Overview E. Daiter, MD. Scroll down to the section on early diagnosis and it discusses progesterone levels. It seems like 9 is pretty close to the 10-20 range where there is little differential value in terms of making a diagnosis. Still, I am surprised they are going to wait until Monday to do an U/S. Maybe you should press for one now. I have a niece who just had an ectopic last year and I will call her later to get all the info I can and post it later. I will be praying for you.

Re: January Chatty thread
Suellen - I am so sorry I dont know anything about low progesterone but I do hope that the ultrasound on Mon goes well! It is very postive that your beta was good! When does DP get home from New York?
I heard back from the nurse today and she said ALL 6 FERTILIZED!! We are in shock! They did schedule me for the transfer on Fri but they are going to call me tomorrow to see if they qualify for a 5 day transfer.

Re: January Chatty thread
Swell-I don't know any info on the low pergesterone & eptopic. I will be saying prayers for you.
Sado-Great job..all 6 wow those are some good eggs congrats!
Well I went in yesterday for my day 3 ultrasound, everything was good & clear so we are back to tamoxaphin and Menopur shots with back to back IUI's around the 26th & 27th maybe? I was worried I was infertile so I asked the DR why this wasn't working and he said everything with me was fine, i respond well to the meds the sperm has just not met the egg yet (there is only a 20% chance with IUI) , he said they understands I had 7 IUI's before him but that was before they knew I had PCOS so I really can't count them. so 3 is normal I am going on number 4 with them so maybe. it made me feel better but I just keep praying that it will work.
on a side note my beautiful 1 1/2 year old nephew that we just brought back to NC a couple of weeks ago is driving my sister nuts. ( p.s. my sister is not that great of a mom) she just called me and told me he is being mean to her and being bad and she wants to just give him away to someone, she is going to give him to his dad for 2 weeks ( he is an alcoholic & drug addict at 24) just so she can get away from him. I told her I would keep him but I have no one to watch him during the day.I am so upset just another example of people who can have babies that shouldn't.
sorry for the book

Re: January Chatty thread
S - UG, I feel for you with the nephew situation. I have a very similar story with mine. It used to break my heart, but with time his mommy did grow up a bit and he is turning out to be a really amazing boy.
I understand where your doctor is coming from. It must be so frustrating that so much time has gone by before the PCOS diagnosis, but with that said maybe #4 will be the charm!! I'll keep you in my thoughts.
Sado -SIX!! Woo Hoo! That's awesome!!

Re: January Chatty thread
Suellen- This is so frustrating! I have no idea why your progesterone is not where it should be...I am saying for you.
Sado- Great job with those eggs! You are on your way to your
S- that is so frustrating about your nephew. I cant believe she would send him into such a bad environment just for her comfort. Your Dr is right those first 7 IUIs really dont count. It just sucks that it took so long to find out that you have PCOS.

Re: January Chatty thread
Suellen- I spoke with my neice and she did not remember her progesterone count. I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful. I will say that 9 seems close enough to the mid-range numbers that I think you could easily see a rise and a return to normal progesterone levels. I will be praying for you.
Shannon- I hear you about your nephew. As I've discussed before, I have a niece with 4 beautiful kids who has abandoned them because she is addicted to Meth. All you can do in that situation is try to be there for your nephew whenever he needs it. It's just so unfair that these women seem to get pregnant with babies they don't even really want so easily. Good luck with IUI#4!!!
Donna- 6 eggs are awesome!!! Good luck with the transfer!!

Re: January Chatty thread
Suellen - How are you doing? I have been thinking about you....
Shannon - That's terrible about your poor nephew! I agree the best you can do is be there for him. It sounds like your doc thinks you have a good chance and hopefully this will be your month!
My transfer had been offically scheduled for tomorrow at 10am! The nurse said all 6 eggs are still looking good but they cant tell me anything until tomorrow. EEK!!

Re: January Chatty thread
Suellen- Is everything ok, how are you doing?
Donna- Please keep us posted, wishing you loads of babydust.
I am 3dpo now....last night I had the craziest dream that I was pg. I had hot flashes all night and cramps. As always I will tell myself it's all in my head until I can POAS. I swear I drive myself crazy every month but I think that this is the first month that I actually had a dream that I was pg. I think that the cramping and backaches may be from work yesterday but I am not sure. Guess I will just have to keep until I know something.
Babydust to you all

Re: January Chatty thread
Suellen-I hope everything is alright and you're doing well.
Tasha- I hope you get your BFP. I know that alot of people think that visualizing being pregnant helps you get there so hopefully your dream was a sign was a sign you already are!!!
I'm doing my HSG today. I'm a little nervous, but I have good pain killers and I've been on antibiotics for a couple of days so hopefully it will go well. I'm going to start OPK's tomorrow because my partner thinks I should use them from the time AF stops until I ovulate. I still think I'll probably inseminate next Thursday or Friday. I have had some bad cramping on both sides this month so hopefully that means the Clomid is workin!
Donna- Hope the eggs were still doing great and good luck with the transfer!

Re: January Chatty thread
Hi Ladies
Sorry I went slightly MIA for a bit. I was just feeling really down and didn't feel like doing much. I'm feeling better today. When I went for my shot this morning, the nurse gave me 10 days worth of free shots and ALSO wrote be a prescription for my entire 1st trimester. This made me happy because I took it to mean she thought things would be fine - if not, she would have just waited until the ultrasound Monday - right? That's how I'm interpreting it because it makes me feel better. So, other than my butt being sore from these darn shots, I'm ok. DP will be home in 5.5 hours, so that makes me feel better too.
Donna - OMIGOSH! All 6!!!!1 That is awesome!!!!! I can't wait to hear how it went today!
Shannon - I feel you on the nephew thing. My cousin has three kids she is awful to and can't afford. Over Christmas, her husband was actually yelling at the 4 year old so much and got her so upset that she started puking everywhere. Then he yelled at her for puking!!!! I'm glad your RE is so positive. It's gonna happen soon - I know it!
Tasha - Both times that I have been pregnant (the chemical and now) I had dreams of positive pregnancy tests. I have never had them any other time in my life. I hope it really means something for you.
LD - Hope the HSG went well.

Re: January Chatty thread
Suellen - That is great they gave you so many and plus some for free?! You cant beat that! I also agree it's a good sign that she gave you so many!! I bet you cant wait for DP to get home!
Tasha - I know it's hard but try to hang in there!! It's good to stay positive!
LD - How was the HSG? Let us know how your doing!
The transfer went great! They ended up transferring 3 embies! All were grade 3 and they were an 8, 7 & 5 cell. It doesnt look too promising for the other 3 to get big enough to freeze as all 3 remaining are only 4 cells and they are lagging behind but we will see what happens come Monday! My pregnancy test is schedule for 01/29....it seems so far away!

Donna - I'm so glad the transfer went well. 3 is great! I'm so excited for you.
Yeah, my RE is great about giving us free meds. They know we don't have great insurance. They have also given me 2 cycles worth of Follistim. ( I don't know if they are just really great or if the fact that the RE's son goes to DP's school has anything to do with it....)either way - I'll take it!

Re: January Chatty thread
Donna-Good luck to you!!!!
Swell-- Glad DP is coming back home... looks like everything is going well with you and your on the right track.. let us know how it goes on monday!!!
Will start OPK tomorrow... I dont know what it is but I am a little nervous this time around.. I mean im excited the insemination is coming fast but I am not excited about another possible BFN.. Im trying to stay positive and DP is great about that its just that I was so sure the last two times... We were watching Scoot Baio is 46 and pregnant and they found out the sex of the baby and i just started balling crying... DP looked a little scared and I was just like give me a hug dammit!!!!!!!!! she can be such a dude sometimes to kind of piggy back off of what was said earlier in the chat I work with teenagers and its so often that they come up pregnant and so not ready and i think to myself why was that so easy for that "mistake" to happen.. I wish I could have a "mistake",,, I just keep teling myself that when we get pregnant it will be in God's plan and no matter what it will be perfect... Im praying for patience at this point... sorry for going on and on

Re: January Chatty thread
Oh God, Starz I remember that emotional roller coaster so well. I remember being so afraid it "wouldn't work". When we did the IVF, and I FINALLY got a positive Julie looked at me and said all I see on your face is fear...when will you be happy? Needless to say it took a while for it to sink in and for me not to be afraid of miscarrying.

Re: January Chatty thread
Hey Girls,
Just wanted to let you know that we had our ultrasound this morning and that everything is fine. No heartbeat or anything yet - it's too early - but we go in next week for that. We are so grateful. Thanks for your support - it was much needed and appreciated.
How is everyone else doing?

Re: January Chatty thread
Hi everyone just checking in,
Swell-glad to hear everything went well!!!
I went in for my ultrasound this morning and I had 16 follicles..all were too small now the biggest was a 7. I take another menopur injection on Wed. and go in for another ultrasound on Thurs. they are being really cautious because of the amount of follicles I have now, of course they all won't make it to size but I am hoping for at least 3 good ones. they said my response to the meds this month is really amazing, I probably will not finish all the injections. I had 10 follies on the right and six on the left!
so I am hoping the 2 IUI's will be on the weekend so i don't have to miss work...but we will see.
Sado-How are you feeling?

Re: January Chatty thread
Suellen - That is wonderful news!! I can't wait for you to see the heartbeat next week, it is quite an experience!!
Starz - LMAO!! I was actually playing video games yesterday as I was laying low!! I love Guitar Hero! Good luck with the IUI tomorrow!
Shannon - Wow! That is a ton of follicles! That is great you are responding so well to the meds! I hear you about them all not getting to size...I dont produce many and then to get them over 17mm is like pulling teeth!
LD - How are?? I was thinking about you as we havent heard from you in a few days. I hope all is well.
So I am already twiddling my thumbs and it's only 3dpt!! I actually dont feel very good but I'm sure it's in my head. I just feel plain nauseous for no reason. It is going to be a long 8 days!
