Default Intro....

Hi there all, I have been lurking for the last few days, since I found this site. My DP and I have been together for 13yrs and in the last year have decided that we really wanted to add a baby to the mix. She has no desire to have a baby and I have been bitten really really hard by the baby bug...I soooo want to be pg. I just cannot wait....

I am 35 and she is 38. We are starting off with UIU with an unknown donor. We are using someone from Fairfax. He has DPs hair type, facial structure, and her blood type(this was just a flook, but a cool one!) I have very irregular periods always have so I was on bcpills for like 3 years it also helped with my minor acne. Well went off of them 3 mnths ago and have only had 2 periods since, both induced with progesterone pills. Last AF ended last wed. I also had to have a HSG test just to make sure I do not have blocked Ftubes due to an infection I had when I was a teenager....Had the HSG Friday and the plumbing looked good so Monday I go back in to get an ultrasound to make sure there are no cysts on my ovaries. If they are clear I go on clomid, then my first IUI!!!! I cannot wait!!!!

Thanks!!
Where are you in the IVF process?
Are the meds making you crazy?

We are thinking we will up the anti to IVF if IUI is unsuccessful after 3-4 cls.

I am waiting for my period right now so I haven't actually started taking any meds yet. I should be starting up in about a week. Since most of my meds are via injection I am going a little crazy at the thought of a shot everyday for atleast the next month if I get PG then an additional 8 weeks....OUCH!!!

Welcome and best of luck! I use Fairfax's sister bank, Cryogentic Lab. They're really easy to work with.

I wish you all the best with your IUI. It's very exciting, isn't it. I have had two IUI's all ready, one on clomid. We decided not to continue clomid as it increases chances of multiple births, so if I dont need it, I wont use it.
We had to put TTC on hold for a while until I get a new job. My company is moving the work to another city, so im just kinda floating around in limbo for now.

Tons of babydust to you and best of luck with your first IUI.

Thank you!!!!

Weird, I didn't get an email with a response to this thread. I usually do...

It is exciting and strange all at the same time...living life in two week cycles.

I wish you all the luck in November! We are getting close you know...
