Intro

Hey everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Misty and my DP is Jen. We are currently raising our 8 year old, our dog, our cat, and our rabbits but we have decided that our house is not yet full. We are ttc our second and right now we are in our 2ww. I am scheduled to take a pregnancy test on the 26th (next monday).

I am looking forward to meeting everyone.

Welcome Misty. Congratulations on trying to expand your family. I wish you much success and luck in it happening quickly. I am also currently in the 2ww. I am supposed to test on Sunday the 25th or Monday, if I can wait that long if AF hasn't arrived by then. AF is due either Saturday or Sunday. I am so anxious to start testing myself already. Today is 10dpo. I will wait until at least Friday if not longer. How about you? Are you possibly going to test earlier? I try not to but I have been earlier. It at least lets down a little easier I think, then I know to expect AF. Is this your first month trying? Are you using fresh or frozen? At home or at the doctor? I know, a lot of questions. But inquiring minds want to know. Hope to hear more from you.

Today for me is 9dpo. I really do want to start testing sooner, its hard not to and I agree with the easier let down if thats what its going to be. AF is supposed to be here Monday for me which is the day I am supposed to be tested as well. I will do a HPT on Sat or Sunday, or both

. My DP and I tried back in May and it was a weird situation. Long story short... There were alot of things that made us think we were pg but when we had our blood test (at only 10dpo) the doc called us and said it was neg and they put me on this prescription (can't remember what) and I ended up getting a very very heavy AF then two weeks later I got a postcard from the doc saying congrats on your pg. My partner was livid.. she called the doc for days trying to figure out if it was a mistake or what happened. Needless to say, we decided to find another doc so we didn't try for June, July, or Aug. This is our second time. We are using Frozen from fairfaxcryobank and we are going to a fertility specialist in San Antonio and hour and a half away from us. We were turned away from fertility clinics in Austin because they said that we weren't infertile (without checking) and they wouldn't do it just because we were a same sex couple. I just think that might be the most retarded thing ever but having a baby is worth the drive to San Antonio.

I just got a call from a lab in Austin today, from when I went yesterday and had my progesterone levels checked. They called me today and said that my levels were good at like 37.7 so I did not need to take progesterone suppositories... Have you had your progesterone tested? Maybe you can help me understand it? I have a great doc, he just isn't the best at explaining things so that I understand.

Misty, that is a very disturbing incident that you had. I can understand your frustration with that doctor. I am so glad you have a new doctor. And I agree, a drive to San Antonio is worth it. I had a loss back in March, and we this is our third month trying this time. We are using fresh and doing inseminations at home. We are going to DP mother's this wekend, so I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to test. I may just have to wait for AF. I may pack a test with me though just in case. Keep me posted on how things are going.

Misty, forgot to mention, I have not had my progesterone levels checked, but that is one of the first things I want to have tested when I go in for a Beta when I do finally get my BFP. I do understand some about it, so if you have some questions, fire away and i will try to answer them for you if I know the answer.

I am just getting to the point where waiting is seriously killing me. Up to this point I have been trying to keep myself really really busy... our son is homeschooled and I am the president and owner of my own company .... my wife is the CEO so she isn't letting me go to work to try to prevent stress.. yeah right.. anyway its getting down to the nitty gritty now. Its frustrating because the clomid and HCG and things cause symptoms much like pregnancy you know. I just keep telling myself that I am not pregnant that way if its neg, then I won't be too too disappointed but if its pos then I will be sooooooo happy. I don't know...

I know about the wait. It's excruciating. I am so dying to pee on a stick. I don't know if DP will let me do it in the morning. She came to me this morning and said she didn't think I was pg. Didn't want me to get my hopes up. We only have one test in the house, so I really don't want to waste it. But I am so dying to do it. I'll let you know if i test early.

Please do let me know if you test early. Don't get discouraged though, if its neg, it may be too early. I read a post where a woman took 2 home preg tests and they were both neg and she had a blood test the same day that afternoon at her doc and it was pos. I don't want you to get your hopes up and be let down but don't get discouraged if this month isn't the month ok. It will happen, I know it sucks when people say that to you because I hate it when people say that to me but my wife is a minister and a doc so their is always a reason with her be it scientific or spiritual. lol... You know it always seems that straight women tend to get preg quicker (not all) just the ones that aren't trying, maybe its because they aren't expecting it but you can't help but to expect it when its us trying because well we are trying and there is no chance our partners could accidently knock us up one month without us knowing.

My partner bought me a box of hpt tonight, its got 3 tests in it... she wants me to test tomorrow, friday, and saturday no matter the outcome of the first test you know.. to make sure... she is so crazy. I will definately be testing in the morning so I will post tomorrow afternoon and let you know what happens. I think it is too early for me but it will pacify her so I am testing.

I don't know if I am pg or not. I don't know what to think about my symptoms because of the clomid and hcg that I have had this month plus simularities with AF symptoms. Well anyway, I am talking your ear off and its like 1 am here and I am about to go to bed.
