I was just thinking about how we use "DP" and that I don't really like the term "partner" because it sounds like a business arrangement. I use "DW" because Carolyn & I have a Civil Union, but I don't know if that technically makes her my "wife". Besides, it's weird to call her my wife.
Then I thought, if she is my dear civil union partner that would make her my D cup!

hahahahahaha

We have been together over 3 years. We had a commitment ceremony at my church (Unitarian) 2 years ago never dreaming Civil Union would be legal in the near future. So then we had the Civil Union a year later on our anniversary. Before that we had been friends for 7 years. I married my best friend!

I always think of DP and "dear partner" instead of domestic partner which does seem pretty lame.
