Default How is everyone doing?

What cycle day is everyone on, that kind of stuff. It's getting quiet in here again. I live with four kids, quiet is creepy, LOL. Must be talking.

Hi jess.
I haven't been on here as much lately. New job, training, etc.
As you can see on my sig, i am 3 dpo/iui. And i don't feel like there's really any chance this cycle. I don't know why i feel that way, since i had 3 really huge follicles right before the iui. I guess i'm just feeling run down lately. And i have prg sxs, but of course all of that can be from the progesterone suppliments i'm taking, so it means nothing. (big sigh) And my blood sugars have been absolutely insane. Maybe i would be more optimistic if i wasn't exhausted all the time.

Hi both Jess'. I'm starting my surge tonight. I'll be inseminating tomorrow afternoon/evening for my second try. I think I was too late last month, and I might be a little early this month, but my doctor is open until 5 pm. tomorrow, but not open on the weekends. I don't have any supplies to do IUI at home. I guess I'd rather be early than late. At least the little guys will have a chance. Baby dust your way

Jess, I was wondering about your situation. You don't have to answer, because these are really personal questions. What kind of agreement did you come up with, with your donor concerning paternity rights of the baby? I.e., what rights will he have to the baby as far as custody, visitation, ect.? And also, how did you find him?

The reason i ask is that i have considered looking for a willing donor who knows that the reason is primarily to produce a baby. I'm just so worried that after the baby is born, he might decide that he wants joint or sole custody. I've been doing iui's, but i can't continue shelling out big $$ indefinitely. And also, i would prefer making a baby the old fashioned way.

My donor is a good friend, as close as family. he and his girfriend are both bi sexual and very open minded. Em and I were talking about starting a family, and the other donors we had tried, and they offered to donate. It's been discussed and agreed between the four of us, that we ask them for nothing in regards to the baby, and they get to be Aunt and Uncle to the baby, or babies.
I prefer the syringe method, but he prefers old fashioned, and his GF doesn't mind either way. (I know, I'm the one with the most worries, and have asked repeatedly) So we're just going with what he feels like by the cycle.
Hope that helps.....

We are hoping to be able to insem tomorrow evening. I am on CD 9. This is only our second attempt. Our first attempt was in July. We now have a new donor and are hoping to get started on this cycle. I'm hoping to Insem tomorrow, sunday and Monday. Of course I want to get a OPK for this weekend so I feel like we have a little more control. I start a new job on Monday, so I will be working during the week now instead of on the weekends. I won't be able to be online as much as I was before. I hope everyone trying this cycle has lots of luck and I'm sending baby dust all your way.

Oh Jessi, don't ever wish for a shorter luteal phase if you want a baby. If it's too short, even if you get prg, your body may not be able to sustain it. Much better to wish for a really long LP. That's the time needed for the placenta to get established, and start cranking all kinds of wonderful hormones.

BTW, your chart looks much better compared to last cycle. It's even tri-phasic. Good luck.

I know what you mean about the wait being too hard. My wife had last Tuesday off and was home with me and she wanted me to HPT. Came back neg, but I had like 5 or 6 pg symptoms all week, so we tested again this morning, just to be sure. Another negative. So, now back to the drawing board. Hopefully, the third time's the charm for us. Hope all goes well for you.
