Yesterday was our first Group Prenatal Appt. DP and I took off work and went to Kaiser to have our orientation and fill out all our paperwork and take all those tons of lab tests. I had to take the 1 hr glucose test so I was waiting after drinking that lovely mixture of sugar to take my labs when all of a sudden I started bleeding. I had been cramping some throughout the day, but didn't think much of it cause I've heard that can be normal. But when the little bit of blood started, we freaked out. We didn't even finish the tests. We left and went to the ER because it was too late to get in to see an OB. We got to the ER at 5 pm and didn't leave until 2 am. It was horrible. Anyway, it seems my hcg levels are very low. At 6 weeks, they are only at 268. Could be looking at an ectopic pregnancy. Of course, can't be sure until I go back tomorrow and have a followup hcg test done to see if it doubles like it's supposed to. It's going to be a long day and a half now at this point. Will keep you all posted.
