Is it true?

Is it true that boys take much longer to potty train than girls? I fear this because I have a son! He is only 8.5 months old and he already wears a size 5 diaper. What happens if he outgrows diapers before he is potty trained? My dd was trained when she was 2. She did it great!!

So, Is it a struggle for boys??
