Icon9 Taking diaper off!!!! HELP!

Our 27 mo old DS has zero interest in potty training. Now, I know that boys start later than girls and I have no intention of pushing him, BUT, we have a big problem! He refuses to keep his diaper on after he's used it...which results in at least one daily "poop episode" for me to clean up. If he just goes pee, he takes it off and throws it in the garbage. If he poops, he hides and then takes it off and smears it all over...well...everything! He does tell me AFTER the fact that he went potty, but no matter what we do he won't tell us BEFORE he goes in his diaper! This has been happening for the last 3 months!

I have tried to get him to use the potty chair, both standing up and sitting down. He won't use the big potty, either. We've tried sticker and toy rewards. Time-outs. Big boy underwear like Daddy's, that HE picked out in his favorite, Scooby Doo. He could care less if he wets them. I've bought books, videos, and even the potty doll, but none work. If I put a video on, as soon as he sees it's about pottying, he wants to turn the TV off. I've tried putting layers of clothing on over his diaper, but he can Houdini out of anything! Plus, he's really quiet and sneaky when he poops, because he knows that if he's caught then I'll clean it up before he has a chance to make a mess! LOL!

We have friends who have kids much older who aren't potty trained, because they're content to just sit in a messy diaper all day and it won't bother them. And I didn't expect our DS to be potty trained by 2 1/2, but he obviously knows when he's wet, he's uncomfortable with it, and he wants to be cleaned up after the fact!

Has anyone gone through this situation who can offer some advice? What do we do???
