Hey, me again

A few months ago I was at the mall with a DF of mine and her DS is the same age as my Trey. He has been PLing for a while and will go on the potty no problem. Well, this one day Trey decided he wanted to try too. Needless to say - I WAS SO HAPPY he finally showed interest. She had the lil fold up potty seat for the potty and said that I could use it. This didn't go well. When Trey sat on it - it pinched his lil legs really bad. He screamed and screamed. Well - this put off trying the potty for the last 4 months now because all he does is say - "potty OUCH!" I've been reinforcing how great it is and how it was just that potty seat that was an owie and that he should really try again - it won't hurt - I promise. I've showed him - DH has showed him - but nothing.

Finally, a few weeks ago - he showed interest. He wanted stickers if he sat on it and when he did this a few times I thought that we were finally over the owies. Nope. He doesn't want anything to do with it and now he won't even take stickers for any reason! ACK! I'm still reinforcing that it won't hurt him and that it's a good thing but he won't sit on it anymore. OH and he has never gone on it. Heck, I've even had my 11 mos old sit on it to show him that it doesn't hurt.

Help?? Anymore ideas???
