Default Glad I found you, have a ??

Hi everyone,

I'm so glad I found this board

My oldest daughter Gemma is now just over 2 1/2 yrs (almost 32 months) and we started potty training the weekend of July 4th.

It was tough for the first few days with lots of accidents etc but basically in about a week and a half she had the "peeing" sorted. Now she'll even go off and sit on either her potty or the toilet and pee by herself

Unfortunately, "pooping" is a different story and that's where I need the help.

When we first began, I'm guessing that she had the usual problem of not wanting to sit still to do her business and would quite often have an accident in her underwear.

No big deal, I would plop it into the toilet, wipe her and we could carry on with our day.

Lately, and I can think of no reason why, she's not eating any differently, but her poop has become SO soft Sorry if this is TMI, but it's not solid, yet it's not diarrhea either, it's a mushy inbetween

The main problem is that it's seems as though she has no real warning until it's too late. And, as you can imagine, cleaning her up is AWFUL! It's everywhere.

It's really starting to get me down now, I'm SO fed up of cleaning up poop and dealing with the dirty clothes. It's not as though it happens just once a day either, it can be as many as four times

Last weekend, it happened twice in half an hour when we were at the mall.

She's done so well on the peeing side of things that DH and I are really struggling to keep our patients.

I know that it's normal for pooping to take a bit longer than peeing, but is "this" normal ???

I'm sorry that this has got so long. Thanks very much for reading and I look forward to hearing what you ladies think
