I'm new to this forum. I have been working with my daughter for about a month now on potty training. My daughter is 25 months. She has been showing so much interest in using the potty. The will tell us when she needs to go poopy, but will not go in the toilet. She will also tell us AFTER she has gone pee in her pull up.She often brings me her wet pull up or runs to me completely naked saying "See mama! I poopy!" These are wonderful things to me! I'm curious to know how to transition her from this stage to knowing she needs to tell me she has to pee BEFORE she has gone in her pull up.
Does anyone have any helpful advice? I would very much appreciate some fresh ideas!

at the beginning of potty training when a child says they have to go -bring them to the potty and sit them down on the potty chair or the big potty -and if they don't want to sit don't make them . my ds is 3 yrs and will be 4 in august -he finally got the specifics of the potty but still at forgets when he's holding his hand on his twig that he needs to direct himself to the potty-so he needs someone to 'remind him that he needs to use the potty otherwise he gets so distracted and just goes in his pants.

Since your dd just turned 2 maybe as each time she got to use the potty run to the potty while using the potty sign as in making a fist with one hand and putting the thumb to be sticking out the 2nd finger and shake that hand stating that's how we say go potty in the potty
