Icon10 Who Needs Ears to Run?

Jonathan had his first cross country meet today. He did a great job! He finished first for his school. He was in the top 15 - 20 overall out of 85 (not sure his exact placing) and ran under 7 minute miles. He got his speed from Dad, not me.

He was excited, and I think he enjoyed the attention he got for leading his team.

Even before the race started, his coach told me that Jonathan had a fairly rare (for his age) combination of speed and endurance. I sort of knew that, but still didn't really expect him to be the best on his team. After all, there are 8th graders on the team, and this was his absolutely first race.

Perfect hearing not required.
