I saw them do this on the "prepare ttc" board and I thought it would be fun to get to know some of us Military Wives. Hmmmm, lets see.... how about we each tell a little about ourselves and our ttc journey so far. Also if you or your dh is in the military and what branch. Ok here is mine....

Dh is in the United States Air Force and we are currently stationed at Cannon AFB in NM. I am a SAHW and student. We are leaving for Germany in about 5 weeks and we are so excited about that. My hubby has been in the military for 6 years and we have decided that is a good amount of time and we are secure enough to begin our family. We have been ttc for 2 months and I have been off the pill since Dec. We are waiting to see if we get our this month .

Next....heehee...

I am Sherry or Sher. I am 40 years old and have been married to DH for 2 years. DH has been in the US Army for almost 17 years (yay! 3 more years til we retire!!!) I have a 17 year old son from my previous marriage (XH was in the Army as well after we got married). My DS has ASperger's Syndrome which is a variant of Autism.
I always wanted a lot of kids but my XH had a hard time dealing with DS so he decided no more kids. After we divorced i thought my dream of having a lot of kids was basically over. I didn't meet DH until 4 years after my divorce and we married the following year in February 2003. He deployed to Iraq 6 weeks later in March 2003. He came home the middle of November that same year and the folling month I got pregnant. Unfortunately I miscarried at 9 weeks and we really have not tried anymore. I am having several health issues at the moment and DH, (who is 4 years younger then me BTW) feels we need to wait. I can't seem to get through to him that while he may have time, I don't. So basically, out of frustration, I quite charting and stopped taking all of my pills like prenatals, folic acid, vitex, etc. I am not sure at this point if we are going to ever try again with the problems I am having. I can't help but wish that I had met him earlier or that we hadn't lost so much time with him in Iraq. The miscarriage devestated us both and I think it scared him into thinking he could lose me and he is afraid to try again. We will just have to wait and see what life hands to us down the road.

So anyway, that is me. Oh, and right now we are stationed at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland.

I'm Niki (21) and my husband is Chris (20). He has been in the Air Force for almost 3 years. I'm a SAHM to our daughter, Kairi (18 months).
My husband is currently deployed to the sandbox. This is our first deployment and it really hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be. He gets to call every day and he emails me all the time. He left on March 14, the day before my 21st birthday and will be back early to mid June.
We are planning on TTC #2 in July.

Sher, I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope that DH will come around. Just remember that God has a plan for you and I will pray you get your second little baby ! Have you been to the "ttc after loss" boards? The ladies are very helpful over there. My mom is stationed in MD. She is in Upper Marlboro and they are stationed at Andrews AFB. Is that near you?

Niki, that's great how you are taking the deployment. I am a basket case whenever my hubby leaves, ha! He is at Silver Flag in Fl. right now for a week and I just cry everyday he's gone...pathetic, huh ? I guess it just kind of makes me think of all the times he's been deployed to Iraq or Afganistan or Sadi, you know? I hope you get your right away when you start trying in July!!! Have you been over to the "20 something" boards or the "preparing ttc" boards? All the ladies are great over there. You should stop by!

HI there ladies!
I am SHelly (20) and my dh (28).... dh and i have been ttc since oct.( 8 months) with a bfp in january and a m/c at 7 weeks in feb. ... so here we are again! waiting .....patiently!
We are currently starioned in NM with Chrissy and her Dh, so i have a testing partner! neither of us like getting pricked with needles so were a support system! & were waiting on our 's together!
Dh has been in the USAF for 10 yrs and .....counting were lifers ! well till retirement! lol! We have two fur babies Pistol ( siamese..if i spelled that right Kitty!) and Jack ( our puppy dog terror! but we love him!!)
