Confused about SPT results
We had a SPT done today. They did a control scratch which was saline and then they base the results on this. The size of the saline was a 2x2 on Logan and a 1x1 on Jordan. This particular dr said that the other scratches need to be 3 points higher (so a 4x4 in Jordan's case) in order for it to be an allergy. The highest that he had was a 3x2 so he said it was negative. I am confused though. If it is just one point higher than the control how could it not be positive? I would think any reaction would mean it was an allergy. I guess I am just pretty skeptical. Any ideas??
