I'm not sure how many old timers are still around, but according to my stats, it's been almost a year since I've been on the board! Obviously...way too long.
A lot has changed in our lives since my last post. Jackson is 3 1/2 and is the light of our lives. He is a smart, funny, mischevious little boy with a strong will and a big heart. He has an unbelievable amount of energy

and then just crashes at the end of the day. he is just so much fun.
Brian and I decided it was time to move from Boston to NC to be with my family. Jackson's closest cousin in age in Boston was 29! And now that we're in NC, he has 5 cousins all under the age of 7. I'm thrilled beyond words to be home (moved to Charlotte) and see my parents, sisters and their families, all the time. It was the right move for our family at the right time. And my FIL is still living with us (he moved to NC after living in Boston his whole life - 89 years!) and is settling in nicely.
Brian and I have been TTC #2 for some time without much luck. I had a m/c about 6 months ago, but we'll keep trying. I don't think another round of IVF will be in our future since NC is not a mandated state and we lost a lot of money on the sale of our house. But we pray that God will bless us with another child, as we want a sibling for Jackson. But I am thankful that if that never happens for us, he will grow up with all his cousins involved in his life as much as possible.
I got out the old computer today to look for some files I somehow didn't transfer to the new. When i opened the internet, this was my homepage, and I just had to post and say hey to anyone that's left who may know me. I've thought of you all often, and the difficult times you helped me get through. I don't think I would have stayed sane without your support.
I won't make promises to stay active on the board, but I hope to check in from time to time to keep up with everyone.
